Body Hair: 8 Eyes: 3 Build: 1 Butt: 1 Clothes: 3 Mind Personality: 1 Reception: 3 Libido: 1 Age: 8 Voice: 6 Total: 34 - Failed Comments: Screw this character. Body Hair: 7.5 Eyes: 6 Build: 9 Butt: 1 Clothes: 7 Mind Personality: 7 Reception: 3 Libido: 5 Age: 8 Voice: 7 Total: 60.5 - Good Comments: Really should’ve done Yuuko but noooo, had to cover the villainess. Body Hair: 7 Eyes: 8 Build: 10 Butt: 8 Clothes: 7 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 9 Libido: 8 Age: 9 Voice: 8 Total: 83 - Excellent Comments: SAO might not be the second coming of Christ fans claim but it has good things, and Shino easily is the best one. She even shares a birthday with Rika Furude for more awesome. Body Hair: 7.5 Eyes: 6 Build: 10 Butt: 6.5 Clothes: 8 Mind Personality: 7.5 Reception: 5 Libido: 7 Age: 10 Voice: 7 Total: 74.5 - Excellent Comments: Another girl whose show more people should watch. Hopefully being in the latest SRW will motivate people, especially compared to its sucky debut game. Body Hair: 9 Eyes: 3 Build: 4 Butt: 5 Clothes: 6 Mind Personality: 1 Reception: 3 Libido: 1 Age: 9 Voice: 7 Total: 48 - Failure Comments: First off, apologies for the measurements posted in the original blog. They were fake. That aside Houki is really lame, being mamocentric and overly favored with the novels being even worse and overall proof being the childhood friend doesn’t mean you can’t get unfairly favored. Having a second childhood friend to drop crap on probably helps. The novels will end soon, but seeing how either Houki will win or nobody will this really feels like a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation which gives Houki little moral support. Screw this broom. Body Hair: 8.5 Eyes: 9 Build: 9.5 Butt: 5 Clothes: 8 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 9 Libido: 8 Age: 9.5 Voice: 7.5 Total: 85 - Excellent Comments: Ran is simply awesome, and not just for sharing a birthday with someone awesome. Body Hair: 9 Eyes: 8.5 Build: 8.5 Butt: 8 Clothes: 7.5 Mind Personality: 7 Reception: 5 Libido: 5 Age: 9 Voice: 7.5 Total: 75 - Excellent Comments: Man, remember when I would cover random mecha girls. Those were the days. Still Saaya is pretty cool and culo-tastic thus watch her show too. Body Hair: 10 Eyes: 7 Build: 10 Butt: 7 Clothes: 7 Mind Personality: 7.5 Reception: 6 Libido: 7.5 Age: 9 Voice: 9.5 Total: 80.5 - Excellent Comments: Watch this girl’s origin series too. So many good shows that deserve more love. Body Hair: 8.5 Eyes: 8.5 Build: 9 Butt: 6 Clothes: 8 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 10 Libido: 9.5 Age: 9 Voice: 10 Total: 86.5 - Excellent Comments: Surprisingly high and even higher than the original surprisingly high score, but Moka is just that cool. Body Hair: 9 Eyes: 8 Build: 0.5 Butt: 1 Clothes: 6 Mind Personality: 1 Reception: 1 Libido: 0 Age: 9 Voice: 6 Total: 41.5 - Failed Comments: Slightly overscored, blame her nice hair. Definitely the worst villainess named Katsura for sure.

Episode 1 The series has beautiful art and super sound design (from the voice acting, over the sound effects, to all the musical pieces). The 'Lonely Girl' song was lovely and superbly sung. Then again I expected nothing less from a Watanabe production. It also feels extremely SJW and leftist. Two girls in the main roles, one of them has to be coloured (with a sad refugee background), and capitalism or the economy portrayed in a negative light. The other is a privileged white girl, who has everything she wants, but it's so awful being wealthy and white that she runs away to play music on the street instead. Having a concurrent social media account is brilliant though: https://www.instagram.com/carole_and_tuesday/

Spring 2019 Review

Spring 2019 Review Here’s the TOP TEN SPRING 2019 ANIME boys and girls. I can’t believe I finished exactly 10 shows this season. I didn’t watch everything, so this is unfortunately not comprehensive, but aside from Carole & Tuesday (I’m waiting for the English dub) I think I watched everything worth watching (sorry, Fruits Basket and Bocchi fans). 1. Sarazanmai Ikuhara did it again. There are a lot of connections in Sarazanmai, between all sorts of things like themes, ideas, and puns. And if you watched the show, you know it’s very explicitly about connections, first and foremost between people. That’s where it gets its heart. And I think there’s a primal joy that I, at least, experience in drawing connections between things. So if you don’t, and it’s very possible that you don’t, then maybe it won’t be as good for you. But there are other stellar qualities here as well! The colors and design are similar to Penguindrum in that they are fantastic, and the environments have an amazing level of detail. The music is great, and the animation is always clean and/or snappy and fun. I just love everything about Sarazanmai. So please, inform me in the comments why this show does not deserve a 10/10, for I wish to know. 2. Isekai Quartet This show is fun if you’ve seen one of the source shows. And there’s gonna be a season 2 with transfer students! Wait why is this show so high on this list? How does that work? (It is enjoyable to watch disparate things join together and interact, and somehow this was more enjoyable than most of the other shows this season. Who knew!) Important note: I give this show a 7/10. Yes, this is the #2 spot. This and the next two shows are pretty close, so I decided on their ranking based on how consistently they made me smile. 3. Kenja no Mago As some affectionately call it, Ketchup ‘n Mustard is a super fun show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It has pretty good animation, a clean art style, decent music, and a great cast of fun and dynamic characters. It’s also, contrary to all expectations, surprisingly realistic. You know, aside from the whole reincarnation in a fantasy world setup. It pokes fun at its own genre conventions and tropes, while showing the bad shows out there how to do it the fun way. There are two big cons though: the blatant fanservice, and Aug’s sister’s voice. I call the fanservice a con only because some people will mind it, not that it’s that prevalent. I can’t stress enough, though, how much fun this show is. You can tell that they had fun making it, that’s for sure. Highly recommended if fun is up your alley. 4. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Shield Hero really had its ups and downs. On one hand, the fights are often filled with slow dialogue, and some of the characters are (however intentional it is) absolutely awful. On the other, the animation is sometimes excellent, and the soundtrack is blessed by the god of music himself, Kevin Penkin. I’d like to shout out OP2’s animation in particular; go watch that even if you don’t care about the show. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the general plot, but aside from a few bumps that may or may not just be poor adaptation, I’ve found little to complain about. The ending was even pretty feel-good, and at a really nice stopping point in the story. If you don’t already hate Shield Hero, give it a shot. 5. One Punch Man 2nd Season OPM S2 is just not as good as S1. I think everyone is aware of that. Saitama is getting sort of obnoxious for me, so it’s honestly pretty good that he isn’t actually in that much of S2. It’s too bad he’s still the only one who can punch the big bads. I enjoyed Garo, despite his pretty corny flashbacks, and King was a great addition to the cast. Everything else is sorta unfortunately mediocre. I'm still looking forward to a S3, if it comes, so I can find out what comes next. But this season has me seriously considering switching to the manga. 6. Dororo Despite all the bad things I’ve said about Dororo (see the previous three posts), I enjoyed the ending. It was Good. Whether it was worth it is left as an exercise for the reader. The fight scenes are good, the story is basic, the art is fine, the characters are hit or miss; basically, your mileage will vary. There’s only one (one!) episode with humour in it (aside from the regular “oh, haha, Hyakkimaru can’t see/feel/hear whoops lol”), and that was my favorite episode. The OPs and EDs were mostly good. Dunno what else to say, except that it’s not as great as its MAL average would have you believe. 7. Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai This cute little romcom greatly exceeded my expectations. For what the synopsis has to say, the actual experience is way more wholesome than what you’d expect, and the ecchi tag is definitely the least important and prevalent in comparison to the comedy and romance. The show gets better once you get past the first few episodes, as you come to understand the two mains. A lot of the humor comes from Ao thinking like a pervert, while simultaneously rejecting her father’s perverted teachings. This contrasts especially nicely with Kijima’s pure innocence. Anyway, I probably like this show more than I should, but again, it exceeded my expectations. 8. Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai Bokuben is so special in places, but those spots are separated by mostly bog-standard rom-com filler. So, I think Bokuben is an above-average rom-com. The adaptation is overall good, with nice colors and average animation, and a good OP. This first season doesn’t really have an ending, just a “to be continued.” I can assure you that second season will have more of the same. 9. Kimetsu no Yaiba (First Half) At times slow and ponderous and at times way too fast, I think Kimetsu no Yaiba has pacing problems. It tries way too hard to explain some superhuman abilities developed by our boy Tanjiro (which make no sense whatsoever from our reference frame anyway), but explains nothing about magic demon abilities or the frankly absurd power of his nose. Zenitsu can hear how kind Tanjiro is? Excuse me? Basically the lopsided attention to detail is turning me off, I think. And of course how slow a lot of is, despite being a shonen. Often the action will stand still for a moment to go over Tanjiro’s thoughts. Repeatedly, in the same fight, for what seems like his every thought. It got sort of exhausting for me. I think what I would do to improve Kimetsu no Yaiba would be to remove a lot of the powers explanations, and implement more “show not tell.” This would speed up both the combat and the exposition, allowing for more juicy animation and story. Yes, I know this might not be feasible (especially considering what I’ve heard about Ufotable’s circumstances), but that’s just how art be. I guess I should talk about what’s already good about Kimetsu. That would be the linework and the audio. That’s about it, really. Nezuko is great, but absent for too much of the show for it to be a selling point. Overall it’s a fine show, but is only carried to that point on the back of its audiovisuals. Please let me know in the comments why I’m wrong and/or what I missed, I would love to hear it. 10. RobiHachi RobiHachi is sometimes really funny, but most of the time pretty average. I think the first and last episodes are probably the best, with the Pluto and kappa episodes up there as well. The rest of the episodes are sort of the same space tourism parody, plus Yang, who you will either love or hate. I can’t say I recommend this show, but I bet I could recommend watching just episodes 1 and 12 and enjoying that. Possibly episode 3 as well.

Spring 2019 Anime Wrap-Up

The Spring 2019 anime season is over and it was a mixed bag for me. I’m not following as many shows as I used to follow and even with that winnowing I still ended up watching some irritating and mediocre series. So here are my thoughts on the shows that I did watch. Finished Series: “One Punch Man Season 2” – There was a huge amount of whining and complaining about the animation quality of OPM S2 but I don’t watch this series for the animation any more than I follow One’s web manga for the artwork. This is a brilliantly biting social satire at many levels going from Japanese society in general to shounen fighting anime and manga in detail. The point is not the fighting. The point and jokes revolve around the fact that Saitama is the Buddha and doesn’t know it. My final rating for the second series is A. “Dororo” – This modern adaptation of an old Tezuka historical horror/fantasy manga was a well-done ride all the way. Good animation, excellent voice acting and fluid action scenes made the series satisfying to watch week after week. My final rating is A-. “Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin” – This contemporary fantasy series had a great strength going for it right from the beginning – it was about adult characters in adult situations. It’s a good example of how to execute a “what if” premise very consistently. My final rating is B+. “Gunjou no Magmel” – This adaptation of a Chinese “what if” manga was one of the more ineptly written series that I’ve watched all the way through to the end. This was fan-fiction level writing. The writers took a promising premise and wasted it. My final rating is C-. New Continuing Series: “Fruits Basket (2019)” – This reboot of a nearly 20 year old tear-jerker shoujo fantasy has been better than I expected. Somehow, all of the old irritations of the original anime are being handled smoothly and professionally enough that they don’t seem so irritating this time around. My rating after 13 episodes is B+. “Kimetsu no Yaiba” – This modern shounen magical fighting fantasy has great animation and a lot of action. Unfortunately it also has constant stoppage of the action for internal monologues, endless and pointless back stories and also overwhelmingly irritating side-kicks. I’ve peeked at the on-going manga and it is still doing the pretty much the same thing at chapter 168 so I don’t want to struggle through more of the same. Therefore I am dropping the series after episode 13 and my final rating is B-. And Still Watching: “Meitantei Conan” at episode 945, “One Piece” at episode 891 and “GeGeGe no Kitaro (2018) at episode 62.

==Head== Hair: B Eyes: B Face: B ==Body== Build: B- Chest: B- Clothes: B- ==Mind== Personality: A Libido: C Age: B- Total Grade: 68 Comments: Overall the different scale helps Rydia out a bit. Her hair and eyes in particular I'm more alright with, and her age also got a nice bump rather than me doing the average of her ages (though she is still very young when you first meet her). It's a shame that she doesn't show her body off more, though in fairness this is an early game and fanservice wasn't a big thing. Though if it was you know Nintendo would censor it (especially if it was her ass, as Nintendo hates those. Even with Rydia's After Years outfit it has far more lower-half censorship with a pareo. And random earrings but still). That said, I apologize for what I said during her blog as I know know that getting older doesn't necessarily mean that her chest should become bigger. Boo terrible censorship and my previously idiotic ways :/. ====
Komachi Onozuka from the Touhou series
==Head== Hair: B- Eyes: B Face: B ==Body== Build: C+ Chest: D Clothes: C+ ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: C Age: B Total Grade: 58 Comments: Komachi does a little bit worse these days, thanks to me knowing how dumb I was in the past. I was horribly mamocentric and I apologize for that. Sadly Komachi is very mamocentric, and even in the doujin fan-made Touhou series she has a chest moment despite barely being on screen at all. Fortunately we can ignore that as it's technically “fan” work, much like we can ignore her many mamocentric doujins and images and such, but she is a character that is very defined by her chest. That said, I do like her twintails, as well as her red hair and eyes, more these days. ==== ==Head== Hair: A Eyes: A Face: A ==Body== Build: B Chest: B Clothes: B+ ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: B- Age: B Total Grade: 81 Comments: Rino is a lovely yet forgotten meganekko. It's a real shame that her series never got the love that it deserved (well, not that the mamocentric antics deserve praise but still). Fortunately Rino wasn't too bad chest-wise, and even got a few mentions about her ginormous ass (though we didn't get to see it sadly). I would have loved to look at the LN ending as it had ended but it seems there's no information about it online. Or at least it's hard to find as it seems Google wants to tell me about every OTHER series with “Jinsei” in its name. I couldn't find the ending, but I really hope that she was the winner. And by all means, a dark-haired meganekko is great for my tastes. ==== ==Head== Hair: A Eyes: A Face: A ==Body== Build: B- Chest: B- Clothes: B ==Mind== Personality: B+ Libido: A- Age: A Total Grade: 85 Comments: As mentioned, it's no surprise that I like dark-haired meganekkos, and even if we only know her as “Sensei” this girl does really well. It's a shame that they treat her personality as “bad” though it is a shame she can't cook as that's an overdone joke. She's also shown sweaty a little more than I'd like, but nothing wrong with that. The main problem is that she really doesn't show her body, specifically her ass, all that well. She also seems to get a little molesty in the manga (it's joked she gets possessed by another character). Not that I've flipped through the manga though, not that it would help when only 60 or so chapters have been translated of over 100. I can only hope that she gets a win, as again I like meganekkos winning (and in fairness the series does seem to pair off characters pretty well). ==== ==Head== Hair: A Eyes: B Face: A- ==Body== Build: B- Chest: C- Clothes: B ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: B Age: B+ Total Grade: 73 Comments: Overall Rea doesn't change, but not for lack of trying. Her body does a lot poorer, what with all the trolling and random chest moments the series had. It's also terrible that she didn't “win”, with the guy implied to go with his cowy cousin instead of the zombie girl he's always wanted. It's really unfortunate when guys choose the obviously wrong girl. Fortunately I do like Rea's eyes a lot more, and being a dark-haired beauty always helps. I don't know too much about the manga, specifically about her outfits worn in it, but hopefully she has some good ones. ==== ==Head== Hair: B+ Eyes: B Face: B ==Body== Build: B+ Chest: B Clothes: B+ ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: B+ Age: B Total Grade: 76 Comments: Overall Cryska does pretty well if overall average. She's a good older sister, with nice eyes and a sexy body (though she seems a little too mamocentric as far as official works go, at least if the game is official). Still, she's a sexy girl who usually wears a bodysuit and that does really well. Oh, and if the game I saw the CGs of is official she both has fun with Inia and I think the male lead (just vaginal though). ==== ==Head== Hair: A+ Eyes: B- Face: B ==Body== Build: A- Chest: B Clothes: B+ ==Mind== Personality: A- Libido: B Age: B Total Grade: 80 Comments: That said, it's no surprise that Inia does better. She's cuter thanks to having Mamiko Noto as a voice and shows off her ass quite well, even showing it while nude in the bath! She's definitely the best part of the series and being an ass girl is really great. Her hime cut white/silver hair looks really good, though her tarame blue eyes are a little worse these days. Still, Inia does wonderfully. ==== ==Head== Hair: A- Eyes: B Face: B ==Body== Build: B Chest: C+ Clothes: B+ ==Mind== Personality: A- Libido: A- Age: B Total Grade: 77 Comments: Thanks to the new scale Tomoko does far better these days. I don't mind her slender body as much as I did, and I appreciate that she shows off her ass sometimes. Though sadly she is still a little mamocentric, just not as much in the manga. Though speaking of the manga, that's where Tomoko has really grown. She has a group of friends which comes as a surprise considering how she started this series. She often does things she'd insult, but she seems to be enjoying her school life which is good. That said, some of the manga characters have an unhealthy obsession with her (especially the one with the emoji face, Tomoko's words). Still, overall she does great and I have to wonder what the future holds for her. ==== ==Head== Hair: B- Eyes: A- Face: B+ ==Body== Build: B- Chest: C Clothes: B- ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: B- Age: B+ Total Grade: 68 Comments: MIX had something horrible happen to her, but fortunately as time has gone on I've became a lot calmer about it (though I still dislike the decision they made). These days I can see how mamocentric she was, and even though it was possibly for plot reasons (pun definitely not intended) they didn't have to focus so much on her large breasts. MIX was also the type of class rep-ish character that hates perversion. Sure, she had a reason for it but she was still pretty pushy at times and I can see how people could be annoyed by that. It would have helped if they showed her ass more (obviously just as a girl, of course), but I guess Zessica was the “ass” girl at least until she changed her outfit in a dumb way. ==== ==Head== Hair: B- Eyes: B Face: A ==Body== Build: B Chest: B Clothes: B ==Mind== Personality: B Libido: B Age: B+ Total Grade: 75 Comments: If only I had known the type of girls that would end up in the series I wouldn't have made Kanon into a villain. The idol didn't deserve it, especially not compared to certain co-stars. I was just angry that she was popular and got a couple of spin-offs, but those weren't too bad compared to how horribly the series ended. This series is one where the WORST girl wins, and the best girls either become a sister or get dumped forever in a note. Kanon herself didn't cause as much trouble, especially compared to Chihiro or Ayumi, and she ends the series continuing to be an idol (though sadly without even a yuri friend). I apologize to her, as I should have focused my hate on another character in preparation...

This is the Five-hundred-and-fifty-third week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers. *We join Topaz and Ririchiyo at their house.* : Phew. It's good to be back. That arc seemed to take way too long! Being fair a lot of battles are like that. I have difficulty describing things as I yammer on too much. : I-I blame that it's just an issue with the blog format! That's possible, but I doubt that our enemies will let us rest for long. Why, I imagine that they're up to no good as we speak! ==Meanwhile, at the enemy's base=== Swarm: Can I help! Let me help? Please? Help help help? *Sealed Despair is at her desk, still wearing her disguise so that it's impossible to know who the shadowy figure is. Swarm's identity is unknown as well, though she seems to be poking and prodding her master.* S.Despair: Get away! I have to find out what happened! I though that the two sisters would easily defeat Topaz, what with their series being from so long ago and him being an idiot. But no, he was SOMEHOW able to defeat both of them. There must be some way of delaying or stopping the monthly girls from arriving. Hmm.. *She continues to look at the computer, studying the data. Meanwhile Swarm continues to pester her.* Swarm: Let me help! Please, there's go to be something that I can do! Give me any order! S.Despair: You know, you're really living up to your namesake. Swarm: Being low on health and dealing more damage with Bug-type attacks? S.Despair: NO! Wait, I'm surprised that you know that, but that's not the point. Stop bugging me! Swarm: Is that an order? If you order me I'll consider that helping you. S.Despair: Fine then, help me by GOING AWAY! *Swarm bows.* Swarm: Then I shall take my leave. But I shall be on standby. *Swarm then sits in front of Sealed Despair's desk, and while she probably rolls her eyes she goes back to work.* ==Meanwhile, returning back to Topaz's house.== Yep, I bet that they're planning their grand strike against me! : You know that you can't just stare off into space like that, Topaz. It makes for reading that isn't entertaining. Not that your blogs were entertaining to begin with, heh. (I-I hope that he understands I was just joking and that I do enjoy his blogs... Darn it, why does his face always make me want to mock him?) Nonsense, but you do have a point there. We need to go out and visit the next week's girl. Or perhaps you should let me see something... GOOD? *Riri blushes as she presses against Topaz, covering his mouth.* : Y-you know we can't do that on camera! Besides, didn't I already s-show you a lot of fun last night? But the viewers don't know that. Though I do suppose that we couldn't describe what happened... : Believe me, they don't need to know how disgusting Ririchiyo's spats had become. *Topaz turns and both Rika and Kimiko are eating popcorn watching the blogger and Ririchiyo.* : N-no comments from you! Please, don't say any more! : Well then, you shouldn't be making me do the laundry around here. I mean really, you had them SOAKED. Especially in the back, like you gave him loads of buttjobs. And he gave you another kind of “loads” back... T-that's quite enough. We don't need our dirty laundry aired like this! : Nice use of that saying, Topaz. : Boo! Why don't you two just bone already? : W-WHAT?! Don't use such language! That's not too much of a swear word, Ririchiyo. And I imagine you would know... : That was just one time! : Topaz can't let the two of them do that. Especially on-camera as this isn't that kind of blog. At least while he's being too cautious about censorship... I just don't want to get in trouble prematurely... : Heh... What did we say about comments? : I think that we really should get to the week's girl... : Oh sure, trying to skip out on uncomfortable conversations! : No, it's because she's right here. *Ririchiyo then points to a particularly unnerved girl standing beside her. The new girl is looking away, quite flustered.* : I-I didn't want to interrupt, but the door was open and everything. : No wonder it was so warm in here! : P-phew, I thought it was just me... : Oh, you're no doubt sweating for ANOTHER reason, aren't you? : Ah hah hah, great joke! (I-I'm not being too obvious, right? I can't let the others find out... ugh, my arrhythmia... ) : It is quite the warm day out. Probably not as warm as a certain friend of mine. But come in and cool down. *Minamo comes in as Topaz closes the door.* : The beaded door slams behind you, there is no escape now! No one is going to get that joke, Rika... : We don't know. It's an ancient internet game that might have found its way into your reader's hands at one point or something. : I-I'm not in trouble, right? Nonsense. I invited you here to have me talk about you. : Wouldn't it be more suiting if I were to talk about myself? That sounds too much like a radio show. This is on the internet! : So are podcasts... : And video blogs. F-fair... but this blog is written. Because I'm lazy. : We've noticed... : So what will I have to do then? Nothing! Well, you'll have to listen to me talk and give some good conversation to make this entertaining. : Because Topaz sure can't do it by himself... That's right! I'm proud of all my assistants, even if Ririchiyo is the main one that's been with me. : I didn't mean it like-nevermind. : So all I will have to do is listen to you speak? That does not sound difficult. Well, you should probably tell me that you'll allow it. Otherwise I don't feel good starting. : Think of it like the gunshot before a race. He doesn't want a false start if you're not alright with it. : I see then. Hmmm... *Minamo then thinks about it a little with her arms folded.* : I do not see any reason that I would not like you to talk about me. Especially as my series needs a lot more love! It sure does, and to show your show the love that it so deserves (especially compared to literal trash short shows) let's start by saying...
Today's girl is: Minamo Arai from Himote House
: Wow. That is a really low score. Not Mars of Destruction bad, but... : I-is that meme still going? I mean it does look like it has a low score, but I can't be sure if it's still the worst. If there was any justice in the world Prison School, DxD, and similar awful traitor shows would be far below that. They're so bad that you'd have to jump through the pipe in World 1-2 to find their scores... : Sorta fitting that “Flat is Justice” is a meme then... : Um, please excuse me as I am not used to this sort of banter. But does this blog often go into tangents like that? : All the time. But you're right, we should instead sing the praises of your series. Agreed! Especially because people are so caught up in animation that they didn't give you a chance. : Right! If only your series was done by KyoAni but had the same art they'd be singing your praises unfairly! Boo being studio-ist! Unless it's hating a dead company, and which point boo Xebec, Production IMS, and other awful mamocentric studios. Though Xebec had a few good shows. : Mostly space ones. : Topaz! Others! We need to stop being distracted! You're right, Riri! Let's get going and talk about Minamo! ==Head== ===Hair=== Minamo has some amazing hair, especially for my tastes. Her hair seems to be about waist-length, and usually kept loose. Occasionally she'll put her hair up for a skit or in the hotsprings, but it's usually in a ponytail in those times which isn't bad (not as good as free but still looking good). She also has blunt bangs which are usually good and this is no different, even if Minamo has the kind that sort of curve in the front to give a rounded appearance. That may be a result of the animation style, but it also doesn't look bad. As long as the lines in the bangs are there I like it. Minamo's sidecurls go down pretty far too, reaching about to her chest and giving her a good hime cut appearance which I really like. She also has a cute headband with a bow on one side, which further compliments her appearance. Of course we can't forget that Minamo's hair is a light purple color, making it look even more amazing for my tastes. Finally, for the improvisation scenes where she's wearing pajamas Minamo also wears a Zun hat which goes well with her pajamas. Overall Minamo does really well, with the main issue being the animation style making it look like her bangs curve out further than I'd like. Still, she does extremely well here. Grade: A ===Eyes=== Minamo has very beautiful eyes as well. They're purple like her hair, maybe a little more blue but still purple at least on the bottom to match with her hair color. She has a slight tsurime, her inward slope barely noticeable. Not only that, but Minamo also has the emphasized upper lid and nice corners that I like. Her great eyes could only be improved by glasses, and while she doesn't wear glasses like Tokiyo does there are some occasions. While I'm not a fan of her thick otaku coke glasses in that skit, I do appreciate her wearing glasses as Hazuki during the DoReMi ending outfits. Shame Minamo didn't get Tsubasa from Bakemonogatari to cosplay another meganekko. Overall Minamo does have great eyes, and I would love to have had seen her wear (good) glasses more often. Grade: B+ ===Face=== I don't see what the problem people had with this series was. Minamo (and the other girls) have lovely faces and being 3D or MMD or whatever doesn't hurt her at all. People really need to enjoy the series and not pick on the art just due to how it was created. But I shouldn't get distracted in the middle of talking about Minamo. Her head is acorn-shaped and she's got some nice cheeks, and her features including her nose is small which I like. She also has a cute smile, though sometimes she makes silly faces for a skit (such as when she had big lips as an otaku). Still, Minamo looks very beautiful, appealing to me well. Grade: A So what do you think so far, Minamo? : It would appear that I am doing quite well. : Not surprising. You appeal to Topaz really well in this area. After all, you're basically 3D Sumire. Er, I suppose “MMD Sumire” would be more accurate. Exactly. I don't talk about 3D girls in this blog. : Well, there WAS Akane... That's different. : I am very confused... : Sorry about that, but you see Topaz uses the American grading scale that is incredibly harsh and- I think that she means about the things about the blog. Don't worry, the earlier blogs won't matter when it comes to this grade. : I see then. Though looking at the previous blogs... Could it be that *gulp* you've brought me here to do p-perverse things to me? Now why would you think that? : Because every time you send a girl to Zettai's place... Well, you know what happens. But those are gifts for him. It's not like I'd give gifts to myself (these days), as I know better. That would be selfish and my readers would dislike it. : Nonsense! There's one type of fanservice ALL your readers love! THIS! *Kimiko then uses her powers to create glasses on all the girls. Minamo is surprised, but the other two sigh. Sadly the pictures have not changed.* : Sigh.. This again? Well, at least I know that Oniisama likes me like this. *Rika adjusts her thick red glasses cutely but also seductively, depending on how you think.* : It was a little excessive, perhaps. : Yes. But if this is the only fanservice I shall be forced to partake in I am fine with it. : Well, looks wise as Topaz still has to talk about your body. : W-wait, what? Don't worry as I'll be fair and respectful, so let's continue onward! *Minamo is noticeably red, flustered at what Topaz may potentially say.* ==Meanwhile, in the villains fortress== Swarm: Can I help? S.Despair: NO! *Sealed Despair continues to look through the footage of the arena battles which the Ropponmatsu sisters filmed. She's trying to find a weakness, but Swarm keeps looking at her boss and getting in front of the screen in an annoying fashion.* Swarm: Can I help now? S.Despair: NO! Swarm: What about now? S.Despair: LISTEN! You're really annoying me today for some reason. Now go wait in the hall or monitor or something. I need to get through this footage of Topaz's battle. Swarm: But he didn't even fight... S.Despair: That may be true, but I have to analyze his powers. If I can find a way to reverse his ability he'll easily fall. Then, after tasting defeat he will have to give up blogging forever and everyone shall live in peace! Hopefully under my rule as well! Swarm: Indeed, as you are our savior. Please, Sealed Despair, allow me to help you with your goals! I beg of you! *Sealed Despair slams her hands against her desk in frustration.* S.Despair: FINE! Since you seem to be BEGGING me to be helpful how about you go collect some data on Topaz? I'll even let you use the gaming machine this time to help you out! Swarm: Yes. I shall go and take care of him. S.Despair: Good. Then go down and wait for the machine to be finished until then. It should take about a week or so... Swarm: Then I shall await there, as per your command. *Swarm bows and leaves the room. Sealed Despair sighs and holds her head in her hands.* S.Despair: UGH! Why was she so ANNOYING today... Well, at least now I can start figuring out what to do here... *She returns to the computer, and we return to Topaz and the others as he continues the blog.* ==Body== ===Build=== Again the CG is fine, and doesn't take away from Minamo's beauty at all. The bigger problem is that she doesn't show off much, or at least that I remember. They don't even let us see her panties while the girls are showing them off (to each other, as none of them are shown to the audience). Still, she looks pretty fine, without any problems to be seen (other than not showing off enough, of course). Well, there was a part where the girls are shaving and Minamo does it to her arm, but I try not to think of things like that. Grade: B- ===Chest=== This is a bit worse, as Minamo I'm pretty sure is the bustiest girl in the series. It's not brought up all that much, at least as far as I can remember (which granted isn't much, other from what I actively researched). She does get called “big” and she is pretty busty, but Minamo dislikes her chest as it makes her look fat. There's also the time where she and the other girls massage their own breasts, but in general the bath scene wasn't great (other than them randomly talking about Cryptocurrency but still). Grade: C+ ===Clothes=== Minamo's base outfit looks really good, as it's a nice gothloli-like frilly dress. It's a nice blue color that goes well with her hair color and I like the long sleeves, ribbon, and striped pattern with buttons on the torso. She also wears thighhighs which look good as well. There's probably a lot of costumes that she wears for skits (including an otaku-like one with a backpack with posters in it), and in the improv sections she wears a nice nightgown as pajamas. That said, the best part for Minamo and Himote House in general clothes wise would be all the endings. They would parody other series, having the girls cosplay as certain characters. The list of outfits Minamo in particular include Lunch (Dragon Ball), Sailor Mercury (Sailor Moon), Zelgadis (Slayers), Hazuki (DoReMi), Yuki (Haruhi), Fate (Nanoha), Nadeko (Bakemon), and Saten (Railgun). There's also outfits from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Natsume Yuujinchou that I'm not familiar enough with to identify. But still there's a lot of great outfits, though it's a shame that Minamo didn't show off her ass in the Fate outfit. Grade: A- *Minamo is blushing quite a bit.* What's wrong? Is it too hot in here? : It's not the heat, Topaz. It's the things you're saying. I didn't think that I said anything too bad. I behave! : Well, when you want to at least. : He's been a very good boy, Rika. : Y-yes. I am just surprised to hear you disliking my chest... I mean, I do as well. That's more because you should show off the rest of your body, and I didn't like how much focus your chest seemed to get. Just show your ass more and everything should be fine. : I see. So it is more the focus on my chest. I was afraid you'd think I was fat... : That's alright. Topaz likes plump girls, even if we're mostly slender here. *Kimiko glances sat the other two assistants asses.* : Well, excluding some places... : H-HEY! *Riri attempts to cover her ass, but her cheeks are so big that her hands can't cover them. Rika is proud of her ass and squirms her hips.* I'm surprised. : What can I say, Zettai-niisama really likes my ass so I've become more proud of it. : And I'm glad that you have accepted that. Though aren't you going to go into your dumb mamocentric overused unjoke mode? : What? NO! Don't be disgusting, nipah. I look fine just how I am, and why would I want something that disgusting. Glad to see that trait won't come up. At least as long as I remember. : And that is saying something too... : Of course. If you ever see me wishing for backbreaker I want you to slap me because I am CERTAINLY not in any sane mind... Sounds like a good plan, and I'll even spank you to remind you of where your best ass-et is! : Wa hah ahh! You called it an “ASS”-et... heh heeeh... That's quite a belly laugh. : *wipes tear* Sorry. I'm just not used to assy puns like that. : If only asses were used more often for humor, unlike mamocentric unjokes. But only female asses, which should be obvious. That's right! But how about we get back to Minamo's blog? : Sounds good to me... Though I am curious as to how long it will be... We are in the home stretch now! Just a few more articles and we'll be done, so let's continue! *Topaz continues the blog.* ==Meanwhile, in the enemy's fortress== *Sealed Despair walks into the room where the other girls are lounging about.* S.Despair: What's going on here?! Shouldn't you all doing things for me? D.Overseer: Hey, I was busy being in a show. It may have been a short, but at least it wasn't as bad as the Strike Witches show! D.Cyclops: Weren't there terrible mamocentric scenes? I'm pretty sure that your vampire friend got mocked for wearing pads. D.Overseer: As she should! She needs to be more proud of her flatness, rather than try to hide herself! Heartbeat: I apologize, as we were getting Demonic Overseer up with what happened over the last few months. After all, not only did Semiramis fail, but so did Ayano and the Ropponmatsu sisters. D.Overseer: Shhh, weren't we supposed to use nicknames? Heartbeat: I believe now that they were introduced we are not required to. S.Despair: Indeed. Though it sounds like you all are trying to find things out on your own. Though I do wonder why Swarm was being so annoying. Heartbeat: Swarm? Annoying? I hadn't noticed. *Heartbeat, unknown to the other girls, seems to bend her fingers, as if turning down an invisible dial down.* S.Despair: Indeed, so I allowed her to go face Topaz next. I only hope that she succeeds with our plan. D.Overseer: Ohhh~ If only I was sent next! There is no way that Topaz-sama could resist my charms! D.Cyclops: Now now, we're all waiting for a chance to meet with him. Heartbeat: Indeed... But I am sure that we will all have our chance eventually... *Heartbeat seems to smile, though her face and identity are still unknown. We now return to the blog as Topaz is starting to finish up.* ==Mind== ===Personality=== Minamo is a great girl, especially for my tastes. She's a childhood friend of Kokoro and now lives in the big house with Kokoro's two sisters (plus one friend). Minamo had never had siblings, and coming from a rich family she doesn't fully understand what she's in for right now. She's a little ojou but not in the stuck-up way either. Instead Minamo is a pretty big dork, and by that I mean that with the best intentions. She'll often think of silly things, showing her eccentric side like where she imagined herself and the others as parts of a photocopier (like they were working as humans inside it). She's just a random and fun girl, with a soft and fluffy side. She's also usually the first one to start giggling at a bad joke, which I can identify with. Minamo is also somewhat mysterious, similar to Takane or a similar character, but she's a fun and funny girl. She also seems to work part time at a bookstore and aims to be a novelist. As the girls in the series have some sort of power Minamo's is that she can use the powers of those around her (often by touching them). Overall there's not a lot to bring up, as this is a fairly simple but entertaining series, but I do like Minamo quite a bit. It helps that she is voiced by Sumire Uesaka who is a great VA, and one that is good at thinking on her feet it seems or making silly voices that makes the other girls laugh. Some other characters that Sumire did include Sanae from Chuunibyou, Mai from Phantom World, Nonna from Girls und Panzer, and Shalltear from Overlord among many others. Overall Minamo does really well, even if not perfect. Grade: B ===Libido== Minamo's libido is a bit up and a bit down. She has no experience with men, and during the series she (and the other girls) comes up with terrible ideas to attract men. It's surprising as she should just act naturally, but they think of all kinds of silly ways to meet men. Being fair it's possible that Minamo is the most perverse one, recognizing the fetish ability of Tae's multiplying power and may possibly be alright with guys who have them. They also practice talking to guys, which makes the skits for most of the series. In addition, in one episode Minamo plays a yuri board game and gets married with Tokiyo, which was cute as their life was easier due to moving to Europe in the game. It's probably just for that scene, but overall Minamo seems to do pretty well here. Grade: B- ===Age=== I'm not sure if they say Minamo's age in the series proper. We do know that she's hold enough to live on her own (or at least once her parents leave the country and she didn't want to live in the huge mansion by herself). She was also Kokoro's childhood friend in school, so that means that the two of them are about the same age. Tae was also pointed out to be over twenty, which gives a good idea of how old most of the girls are. But push all that aside, as the official website states that Minamo is 22 years old. While not as climatic as you'd probably expect, there's nothing wrong with the information being on another official avenue. And what a good age too, enough to push her into having a perfect score here! Oh, and her birthday is October 7th for further trivia. Grade: A+ Total Grades: 81 Average score: 90 Final Grade: B+ And with that the blog is complete! What did you think, Minamo? : I am surprised by how good I did. I thought that people didn't enjoy the series. : That's only dumb people, as explained earlier. If only the masses were smarter, but humanity is too flawed... Indeed. Though it helps that you appeal to me so well, and that even my friends say that you're the most beautiful one! : Thank your friend for me. *She bows cutely.* You don't need me to do it, I'm sure that he accepts your thanks right here. : O-oh my! That is a good point. *Minamo blushes and bows to the camera.* : And thank you for this opportunity. It was fun talking to a guy like this. : Oh yeah. I forgot that the girls in your series aren't that good at that. That's fine, at least they don't require alcohol to talk to guys. : He got better as the seasons went on. Or at least the writers were bored writing around that trope. : Shhh, bloggers in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... : Anyway, since the blog is over what should we do? : Hmmm, well, usually we'd dress up in cosplay and pose for the ending sequences. That's a good idea. However, since that will be the closer it might be better if we discuss who will be coming next. : Someone from my show, perhaps? I don't think so. As great as the show is I tend to spread girls from the same series out. : Sometimes to obnoxious degree. : Poor Tsubasa and Hiro... I'll get to them eventually! Though not anytime soon, so I apologize yet again for them. : So who is coming next then? Let's just say that it's an older sister that is an idol based on a certain game style. : Huh, what do you mean by “game style”? : And she's an idol BASED on the game style? I have no idea what that means. Would it be easier if I said that the game is named after a certain type of bird? : That's just even more confusing! What do you mean a certain type of “bird”? Like some dumb Flappy Bird or something? The name of the game style is named after a bird. The game itself doesn't involve birds at all. The only thing it has is a big claw. : Wait, a big claw? It's an anime based on the Giant Claw? : The hint is as big as a battleship! : Now now, enough references to one of the AVGN actor's favorite monsters. And I'm the one who gets off on random tangents... Let's just say that the girl is an expert at grasping prizes, all thanks to a gorilla. : Wait, so a gorilla gave her lessons? : But you already talked about Tsugumi, and Chitoge is the only gorilla I know of! Sigh... Perhaps it's just better if we get to the costumes. : We're sorry, Topaz. You're just so much fun to tease. : That's right. We know which girl you're talking about. : It's just that your hints required us to CRANE our necks to see what you were getting at. : Heh heh heh... CRANE our necks... Nice one nice one. I agree, though patting myself on the back for writing jokes wouldn't be good. Now, let's get our costumes on! : Wait, where are we getting these costumes from? HERE! *After a short trip down a hallway Topaz opens a double door. Inside are tons of clothing, and the room seems far bigger than it would appear from the outside.* : Wait a second, what room is THIS? It's the cosplay room. I had it special-made for scenarios like this. : We have to keep repairing the kitchen, yet you can afford things like THIS? : At least buy Mario Maker 2! Eventually! But this is a special room, as the perfect outfits for plots are inside. The contents of the room will fit whatever we need, and there's even dressing rooms too! : Good. I would not want to change in front of you. No offense taken, as I imagine that the other girls want their privacy. : So where DID you get the money for this? Let's just say that it's a present from someone who happened to come by recently... Though you didn't let any strange people inside while Riri and I were gone, did you Rika? : Well, I can't say he wasn't strange but he was your friend... I-I mean... : I see, so a friend left this for you. : Somehow this has Nobara written all over it... Wouldn't put it past her. But let's get dressed. Girls: YEAH! *The girls all pump their fists with Topaz and go off to their separate dressing rooms. Fortunately Topaz is the first one out, dressed as a certain magical girl mascot/incubator.* Well, I suppose that considering which series we're parodying this is the only outfit I should wear. But I'm more excited to see the other girls. *Kimiko comes out first, adjusting her glasses as she's cosplaying a moe version of a certain time traveler.* : It looks like I'm the first girl out. Great outfit, Topaz. Right back at you, as I like the glasses too! *Rika then comes out, wearing the same costume.* : Wait until Oniisama sees me like this-WHAT?! *Kimiko and Rika, who are cosplaying the same character point in shock at the other.* : What? Why are YOU wearing Homura's outfit?! : Because she's Oniisama's favorite! Why are YOU? : Because I should cosplay the one who wears glasses! : What's all the commotion out here? Ugh... My fat ass barely fits into these panty... hose... *Ririchiyo comes out, likewise wearing Homura's magical girl outfit. She looks at Topaz and points a hand at Rika and Kimiko in surprise.* : SEE? This is why we should have had a plan on who should wear what! And obviously I should be Homura as my sad past fits her more! : W-wait? There's someone else that's cosplaying her? B-but I... *Minamo comes out as well, also wearing the same thing.* : I'm the guest, so I should get first pick! Somehow I'm not surprised. But I must say, having this many Homuras around is quite beautiful... : Well, we can't ALL be Homura. How can we decide how who will change? : Kimiko should, as she took the quickest and thus should be able to change quickly! : If this was a race I'd come in first though! Obviously first come first serve, and I should be able to keep the one as I got out first! : Minamo doesn't fit Homura's body type at all so she should change! : H-hey, it's not about body but who looks best in this! : Right, so I should stay like this! : No! ME! I want Oniisama to see me like this and not as another worse character! *The girls continue to squabble, making Topaz get an anger cross on his forehead. He gets between the four before the fighting becomes more than just verbal.* Girls! Stop this this instant! It may be the Fourth of July but that doesn't mean we should set off fireworks like this! I don't want anyone to get hurt, and you know that I can't write fight scenes! : Then you decide, Topaz! : We'll listen to you, so tell us who deserves this cosplay more! : Indeed. It's all up to you. : So please make a decision for us! *Topaz looks at all four girls, giving a sexy pan upward. He then makes his decision.* I have made a decision. NONE of you are going to be Homura. : WHAT? : Please don't say you're going to cosplay as her instead. You'll hurt Oniisama and your other reader too much. : I have great trust in Topaz that he wouldn't be as terrible as a Politics Chocolate harem that's extremely forgettable. No. We're going to do another series. This one has gotten enough attention already. : Wait, do you mean that there were dark magical girl series BEFORE Madoka?! : That's as crazy as saying that old anime pre-EVA just existed other than to sell toys! Especially Mecha which was obviously all the same. : Or that there were difficult games prior to Dark Souls! : This conversation sure is slathered in sarcasm gravy... Seems like it. But don't worry, as I have the perfect idea! And I'll get out the costumes to show you first, so that this doesn't happen again. *The girls nod at this and Topaz prepares the outfits. Fortunately he didn't have to search hard, since as said this room was fueled by plot. The girls accept their costumes and change. Later on, they all pose for their ending sequence. The camera does a panning sweep of the characters, with Kimiko being Moeka, Rika being the assy Suzuha who had bonus VA points, Minamo is cosplaying as Mayuri, Ririchiyo is dressed as Kurisu, and finally Topaz is Okabe. After the theme song finishes they move to a different camera, showing that they were all laying on a background on the floor. Topaz gets up and cracks his back.* Darn my old age making it hard for me to lay down without cracking when getting up... : Well, at least this was done. And I think that it worked out well. : Oh ho? Are you saying that because you're the one who ends up with Okabe? : T-that's not important! EL PSY CONGROO! *Topaz does a pose but a loud snapping is heard. He falls into a nearby chair.* Darn, there goes my back. Getting older sucks... : At least you have the option... I-I mean- : We understand your predicament, so don't worry. : It is a shame that you are not young like me. I can get up easily. Well then, Minamo. Do you mind coming here? I want to suck the youth out of you. : W-what? I'm not sure if I heard you properly. D-did you just say SUCK the youth? Not literally, but you'll see... *She walks over to Topaz to investigate as she was quite curious. He grabs her hand and starts to glow.* : W-what's happening?! : Oh, I do suppose that he got a level-up from that... A shame he didn't keep that to use later. : Yeah, but he'll probably forget all about it. Like all those Megaelixirs that you're all “but what if I need them LATER?” *Topaz indeed levels up, gaining +5 Defense, +10 Hit Points, and +1 Summon. He also stands up, not glowing any longer.* Thank you so much for allowing me to do that, Minamo. : Any... time? But thank you for talking about me and my show. I'm really honored that you enjoyed it so much. Of course, as it's a great funny show! But it is time for us to be going. Join us next time when we talk about a certain crane operator idol!
