Summer Gaming Update

So if you recall reading my last gaming update for Spring I stated that I had 29 (+1 bought in March) unfinished games and after those three months since my last post how many did I finish? ………. Zero! …….. Awesome! Well, I’m kind of getting close to the end on a couple titles, I’ll mention those below however I actually have two new game impressions I want to go over as well. I know I stated that I would not purchase any more games until “Bloodstained” was released (and bitchin’ we finally have a release date for that) but one was a PS+ freebie download for a title that only takes around 90 minutes to complete and the second was for a rather anticipated and interesting title that I really wanted to check into and not miss out on. Before we get into the games I do want to declare one thing that I’ve decided to end my time on: I am retiring from Destiny 2. Keep in mind not on the WHOLE series altogether but just on the game itself. Hate to say but I was really disappointed with all of the post “Forsaken” DLC that Bungie was planning and it all seems like it’s only for the most hardcore and dedicated gamers of the series which requires a huge amount of grinding and time consuming to get the most recommended gear and personally I didn’t want to deal with it and really have better games and things to do. Destiny 2 is still a very enjoyable title to go through in both the main campaign and as well as the initial Forsaken mission content but everything else after that is really uninteresting, even with the “Dreaming City” areas, sure they are stunning to look at but there isn’t really much there. Plus I suck at competitive multiplayer as well as the PvEvP “Gambit” mode. Lastly I really hated the way they handled weapon and armor infusing, especially for legendary weapons and armor you want to really stick with and dealing with the “enhancement cores” were a freaking pain in the ass and really should be just incorporated those into the “exotic” equipment much like how Destiny 1 was. Still a bummer that I had to blow off around $35 for the season pass post Forsaken content but I guess consider it a donation to Bungie for what is next in development for the franchise and will most likely get back into the series whenever Destiny 3 is released and also rather play it on the next generation of Sony Playstation consoles. *** New Game Impressions *** — What Remains of Edith Finch — Gonna do my impressions of this a bit differently due to the fact it was released originally back in Spring of 2017 and it only takes less than 2 hours to complete. This is the newest “walking simulator” adventure game from developer Giant Sparrow whom last made the highly imaginative “The Unfinished Swan” back in 2012 which I also played ironically as a free PS+ game download but I gave fairly positive marks for it and this one is much more of that same rather unique imagination. In the game you play as Edith Finch herself who is, at the time of the main story, the last remaining member of the Finch family and you apparently are the executor of the highly unique Finch household located off the coast of Washington state. The game is mostly told as a visual diary and you are exploring the whole household to find out what happened with all of your family members as well as document what stories they had to tell and all of them deal with a certain sort of death. Each family member tale is shown as separate interactive stories and most of them are very different from each other yet most are played from a first person perspective. For example in Molly’s story you play her while she imagines her self as a cat, then as an owl as well as a freaking shark and a long tentacle sea monster! Then in Barbara’s story the tale is made to look like an old “Tales of the Crypt” comic book issue and even the game play graphics are all done cell-shaded. The most unique one was with Lewis where you have to play a fish cutting mini-game with the right thumb-stick and then with the left stick you play a quasi RPG/Adventure video game. The graphics and the environments in this are pretty impressive especially with the visuals of the house and it’s insides, the game play isn’t all that perfect and very linear and I did notice some really muddy textures when the game loads new areas, but overall it’s mainly a pretty seamless experience from start to finish. Also if you have played “The Unfinished Swan” then you will recognize some rather similar art styles and designs with one of the family member’s areas, hell, even the person involved could of been the protagonist of that story! After the somewhat short experience there isn’t really no need to go back into it unless you happened to completely skip out on one or two family member tales however it’s really hard not to miss them, there are a couple achievements that do require you to play though parts of the story multiple times but unless you have to get every single trophy in every game you play then don’t bother. Overall the whole family story is pretty dark and twisted and interesting to experience and I don’t want to spoil too much but I believe it’s a game that should be checked out if you are into highly original adventures, there isn’t all too much in action and nothing is all too intense or scary but if you have about 90 minutes to waste then it’s something that should be played at least once. The game is out to download on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs and mostly goes for $20, however right now is a free download if you are a Playstation Plus subscriber until the beginning of June (which you might as well act quick by the time you are reading this!). — A Plague Tale: Innocence — This is the first independent game from developer Asobo Studio which will be unknown to most but they have been working on licensed titles for other companies since the PS2 era (remember the “Ratatouille” and “WALL-E” games? Didn’t think so). The story in a nutshell is you play as Amicia whom is the adopted daughter of a royal French family however get’s involved with the British inquisition after her household was invaded and with her half brother Hugo must escape their grasps all while surviving the desolate onslaught of the rat plague that is destroying much of France. What I Liked: - The biggest achievement for this title is the shear amount of rats the game can generate on screen and in a bunch of places there are literal seas of them, and these are big friggin rats too, like a foot long! Plus just one slight touch from even a tiny group of them will devour you whole! I know this game is not set to be 100% realistic but there are even times when the ground will shake and rats will start exploding out of the dirt and in some cases will even create “rat tornadoes” and come charging at you! (RATNADOS!) Honestly it’s a real impressive sight to behold. - The visuals in the game are very dark, gritty and highly atmospheric of medieval 1600’s France and heavily reminds me of the graphic styles of From Soft’s “Dark Souls” series. I did notice some screen tearing in some places while playing on a standard PS4 unit but the game mainly runs at 30 FPS and never seen it dip any lower. - The gameplay style is very similar to Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us” series were you really must use your wits and gather various materials to get out of most situations. This is mainly a stealth game with some slight puzzle elements and the only weapon you have to defend yourself is a leather rock sling although Amicia is pretty damn accurate using it and during the story you learn alchemy skills and are able to make rocks that ignite fire on impact or even make soldier’s helmets burn. There are also work benches to upgrade your sling and holding size for ammo and materials, you can even get an upgrade that doesn’t need any benches to make them. - Midway through the story you also get alchemy skills that can be used to immediately put a searching soldier to sleep (even when they get right up to you) or explode a small rat group out of existence but these need to be used sparingly due to the materials needed and you don’t find them all too often. - I really like the way it uses fast violin cues to warn you of dangers coming around, plus the soundtrack in this game is pretty great. - I only came across two “boss battles” during my 10 hours of game play but both were pretty fun to defeat, especially the second which gets pretty freaking crazy (no spoilers). What I Didn’t Like: - If you are spotted by a fully armored soldier and you don’t have any means of taking them down then, well, you might as well just die and these buttholes can really hunt you down and you can hardly ever escape from them (I only successfully did it twice). Plus there is no health bar and once someone sword swipes or even grabs you it’s game over. Thankfully the game is pretty lenient with checkpoints but there are a handful of situations that really just need to be done with “trial and error” to get through them. - The story is told through multiple short chapters and there will be ones where you hardly do anything and are just used to move the story ahead. - The English voice acting is hit or miss and the French accents are a bit hammy, although keep in mind that this is not coming from a Triple-A developer but mainly does the job decently. You can play the game in it’s native French language with English subtitles but I really do not recommend it for your 1st play through due to the dialog clues the characters give out while playing through areas. - I’m not sure if I consider this a dislike but there is only one difficulty level although I would more consider it as “normal” than easy or hard. Overall this definitely not the next “God of War” or even “The Last of Us” but in my 10 game play hours I had with this title I hardly disliked anything I was dealing with and was pretty satisfied with my experiences surviving through all of these wild situations. I wouldn’t consider this as a “get gud” title but I think all fans of the Dark Souls series and even Bloodborne should give this game a go, the whole world and story may not be as impressive as those titles but definitely has the same dark and gritty medieval fantasy tones, plus of course I’m a huge fan of the “Berserk” manga and anime series so this game seemed really up my alley. Also been hearing this game is somewhat on the short side, maybe about 12 to 15 hours and even after playing 10 hours I’ve acquired all of the “skills” and weapons, but not all upgrades, for Amicia and believe I’m pretty close to finishing the story. Final word: if you like darker fantasy titles and don’t mind a shorter, more linear and non-brutally hard gaming experience then by all means attempt to check this game out, the forced stealth elements as well as the “one-hit-death” situations maybe a big turn-off for some but it’s all mainly about thinking ahead to get past your dangers as well as using pure trial and error yet believe it’s a tale that shouldn’t be passed on. The game is currently out for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs and retails at $50. Physical copies maybe very limited at retailers, my local Gamestop only got 2 copies and I luckily got the last one. *** Games Still Playing *** — Shadow of the Tomb Raider — Seriously, how many DLC packs are they planning for this title? Eight!? I did play through a couple of them and both start with a short exploration section, then you tackle the featured challenge puzzle tomb and then right after you are plopped into an area where you defend yourself against a small horde of baddies. The one where you get through an underground temple full of flowing lava was pretty damn neat. I don’t think they are essential for the game itself but if you really like taking on challenge tombs then by all means get them, also you will earn bonus weapons and armor with each one. I purchased the season pass when I got the game so might as well make the best of them. As far as the main game and quests I think I’m getting fairly close to the end chapters but really not all too sure. — Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — While I’m still highly enjoying all of the sights and splendors on what this ancient Grecian world has to offer the game itself is getting more and more repetitive and seems like I’m just going the same thing over and over. For example I was tasked to kill four elite soldiers in an area, then engage in a large-scale battle to have the Spartans take control of it and then right after was forced into a one-on-one battle against an army general but I’ve already done stuff like this in previous missions. Yet there was one interesting task where I had to escort a giant drunk man-child to this world’s version of the Olympics and shortly after the dumb-ass falls into the water and gets eaten by sharks! So then I had to take his place in the event he was in which was pretty much a bare-handed MMA fight. Still amazes me that I’ve played into this game for now 80, eighty! hours and it’s real ending seems nowhere in sight and I still yet to explore about 40% of the game’s map. And then Ubisoft just started releasing the Atlantis quests but have no freaking clue when I’ll be able to start those but I believe one of the requirements is to take down the four mythical world creatures and so far only did one, the Minotaur. — Kingdom Hearts III — First off, there is no way in hell I’m going to tackle “critical mode”, screw that and let me just enjoy this Disney dimension jumping adventure with a story that I’m really not going to make heads or tails about. I haven’t played all too much into this one but recently just finished the “Monsters Inc.” world and thought that was pretty fun to get through although the big boss at the end was damn annoying as hell. Sadly both John Goodman, Billy Crystal and even Steve Buscemi where not reprising their original voice character roles in this but I thought their sound-a-likes were pretty faithful to their characters. — Hollow Knight — All of the three main “dreamers” have been “defeated” and now I can make my way back to the main temple in the 1st area to take on the game’s main baddie, however before I get to that I still need to explore more and see what more hidden stuff I can discover. Plus I haven’t found the “Grim Troupe” and like to experience that before I finish the game. - Lastly love to finish Devil May Cry 5 real soon as well as getting though the 2nd route with Leon in the Resident Evil 2 remake but only time will tell. *** New Games Getting this Summer *** — Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - 06/18 — FINALLY! The “Metroid-vania” to topple all “Metroid-vanias” is being released in June! Since the title’s initial Kickstarter campaign as of May 2015 it has been funded over $5.5 million with nearly 65,000 backers and originally was supposed to have a release date in 2017 but after numerous delays and getting greater assistance from other developers, including WayForward of “Shantae” series fame, it’s finally being brought out. Also I’m sure part of the delays were due to how the impressions of early demos were and was getting heavily criticized on how it looked, even I was a bit skeptical with it and didn’t really look like it was an all too polished title, almost seemed like an early PS3 game (hell, the game was originally going to be also on the PS Vita and that system is pretty much a portable PS3 anyway). However I am completely all up for supporting future titles from the Vania sensei himself, Koji Igarashi, and highly enjoyed playing all through his “metroid-vanias” on the Gameboy Advance and the Nintendo DS and of course you cannot forget his crowning achievement and is still one of my top 10 games of all time: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Lastly got word that not all of the Kickstarter stretch goals will be available at launch but will be added later as free updates, also there is an extra $10 DLC pack you can buy that will allow a secret boss fight against Iga himself and you can earn a special whip sword, unless you personally backed the “deluxe” version of the game then it’s a free download. I’m just praying for this to be highly awesome and well, well, well worth the wait and if this game will surpass even the uber classic CV:SOTN then I will raise a wine chalice to you, Iga-san. — Control - 08/27 — This is the newest title from developers Remedy Ent., most known for the “Max Payne” game series was well as “Alan Wake” and most recently “Quantum Break”. Now other than the Payne games the later titles from them were exclusive only to Microsoft platforms and had a big hunch they would only be making games for those systems but then came last year’s E3 and during the Sony presentation they showed this very strange, “Matrix-like”, psychic powers title and low and behold it’s the newest game from Remedy and was damn stoked to see them break out of the Microsoft shackles. After seeing later game demos, impressions and additional footage I’m pretty hyped to check into this, actually seems reminiscent to the “Half Life” series where you are just peeling out layers of mysteries of the cooperation you are exploring into and uncovering secrets, plus it’s very X-Files-ish from all of the weird dimensional warping you experience, even the whole “building” you are in is in it’s own special dimension. Also been hearing this game will have “Metroid-vania” like elements and backtracking to previously blocked areas once you gain new powers. It definitely seems like a very different and immersive action experience and absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on it. ** Also May Buy ** — Samurai Showdown - 06/25 — Been a big fan of the series ever since playing the kind of crappy SNES port of the original game and then getting into the actual Neo-Geo games via emulation (yeah, I pirated the roms, big whoop) and now the game is getting a full 2.5D reboot with graphic styles very similar to the recent Street Fighter titles. Yet being that “Bloodstained” is releasing a week prior I’m most likely going to be well too occupied with that than playing this but still may consider it at a later date, maybe around the holidays. — Shenmue III - 08/27 — Hate to say but it’s going to take A LOT of convincing to get me buying this. I have personally played the original Dreamcast title although never played the 2nd one and yet I didn’t think even the original game was all that great to experience, sure it revolutionized much of how even modern games are but it just wasn’t all that remember-able with me. I’m still highly curious on how this long sought after title will finally turn out but I’m not going to expect much greatness out of it. — Indivisible - TBD — I hate to make assumptions but just like with Bloodstained this crowdfunded title has been in development since late 2015 and I have a hunch this may likely have a late summer 2019 release. This is coming from Lab Zero Games whom did the “Skullgirls” fighting series and much like the previous title all of the character sprites are fully hand drawn and animated, also it’s a 2D RPG title that is pretty much a total homage to the Square/Enix and Tri-Ace’s “Valkyrie Profile” game from the PS1, and personally one of the best RPGs made for the system at the time, IMO. We may have more solid info during this year’s E3 in June but only time will tell.

mirai nikki

i am here today to talk about a topic which was prompted by literally no one ever: why do i hate mirai nikki so much? this ones hard to cover for a few reasons. one: i haven't watched mirai nikki in full since i was in literal elementary school. we're talking like, fifth grade . two: i don't actually even care enough to eloquently put down my thoughts about this show. it's just.... shit? you might say i'm not qualified to trash talk a show i haven't watched since i was a fetus but do you know what? mirai nikki left a burn in my chest. a hole in my heart. not because it was so deep or emotional, just because it was such fucking garbage that i can't forget about it despite not touching the thing for seven years. mirai nikki has ugly art , for starters. it looks weird and awkward and it's unpleasant to look at. pls don't try and tell me they were going for that because even if that's the case no one should ever "go for that". shit's fugly. the characters are terrible. yuki? a douchey pervert who looks like he probably sweats buckets. he reminds me a lot of shinji from eva except he's completely unlikable, instead of just mostly unlikable. (almost like this show is an eva rip off or something.. huh.) he's so uncertain on his morals and what he stands for . a pathetic excuse for a protag. next. yuno. oh my GOD yuno. this bitch is possibly even worse than yuki. she started the whole yandere trend . it's honestly a really lazy way to write a character, since all yanderes are exactly the same. she's not quirky because she killed her parents and boyfriend and then became god. she's just a terrible person . also this is the worst frame in all of anime , change my mind akise aru is probably in like two episodes but i dont give a shit i need to bring him up because it is literally INSANE how they managed to get away with this . he's literally just a rip off of kaworu?? they've got the same design, they're both fucking gay , they have the same VOICE for fuckS SAKE. just watch eva if you're itching to see a white haired anime boy get his head knocked off i stg none of the other characters even matter really. the purple haired girl & the detective(??? is that what he is? i have no idea) were redeemable i guess? they were way more entertaining than yuno and yuki, thats for damn sure. the plot of this show COULD be interesting, if yuno and yuki weren't the main characters. i don't have a problem w the general plot honestly it's kind of like danganronpa or smth but danganronpa is actually good. because the characters are good. and enjoyable to watch. one of the only things this anime has going for it is the soundtrack. the op is a JAM and there's that one sad song in the ost . you know the one. tldr: watch evangelion if you're in it for the little white haired twink. watch danganronpa if you're in it for the killing game. just don't fucking watch mirai nikki . please.

Movie-Per-Day Self-Challenge (Update 6)

Time for another update! I have 8 new movies to talk about this time around, making it 45 total days that I've done this daily movie thing. On that subject, I've decided that I'll stop this at 60 days/movies. I think that's a good place to stop and I'd like to focus more on my manga reading and trying to finish a bunch of stagnate anime entries on my list. In other news, I'm officially 35 years old! My birthday was over the weekend and I had a nice day of playing board games with friends. Good stuff! Anyway, here are my movie impressions for this batch: Saint☆Oniisan (Movie): (20 May 2019) To start things off with this batch, we have a story about Buddha and Jesus taking a vacation in the human world, living in a Japanese apartment together. This was a rather nice little "movie" which I enjoyed quite a bit and gave an 8, but I didn't end up ranking it in my standalone movie rankings because it felt much more like a part of a larger series than a standalone movie. Even the movie itself kind of just felt like a bunch of short segments lumped together. That's probably the only real negative I have about this. It just kind of felt like, why is this a movie?? I'd like to explore the series a bit more, though, when I have a chance. Parol no Miraijima: (21 May 2019) And now I've watched the fourth and final Anime Mirai 2014 piece and I have to say, this is easily my least favorite of the bunch. I have it a 5, but it was really close to getting a 4. The main characters looked like really bad furry-bait and the villain was just stupid. I suppose this was mainly meant to appeal to kids, and that was probably one of the things that saved it from being a 4. Blah. Mirai no Mirai: (22 May 2019) While I'd heard Mirai come up many times since it'd came out, I never heard a lot about actual plot. It turned out to be rather touching and I liked it quite a bit. I ended up giving it a low-level 9-score with it currently ranking at #23 on my standalone anime movie list. I'm not all that sure as to why its average score is as low as it is on MAL (7.49 at the moment), but I really liked it. Oh well. Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space: (23 May 2019) Now I did NOT like this one! Man, this felt like such pretentious try-hard hipster bullshit. Maybe the visuals were a lot more interesting back in the day (it originally came out in 2002), but they just did nothing for me now. The main animation looked like something that a single good Flash animator could produce and the CGI parts just looked like ass. Then the story was mostly incoherent, and then when it came around to make sense it all felt pointless. When things "came together" it didn't provide any kind of cool feeling and the damn thing dragged so badly that its hour and a half runtime felt twice as long.... Ugh. It got a 3-score from me.... Pop in Q: (24 May 2019) This was a nice little movie! I mean, I "only" gave it a 7, but it was a pretty fun little ride. I'm not sure why this one scores as low as it does. I read the 3-score review on the page, but they mostly just called it cliche and that's about the extent of their criticism. Meh. I thought it was a nice kids movie. I'd really like to see a sequel that expands on the stinger "the adventure continues" ending. But with the movie being about two and a half years old, that probably isn't likely. Oh well. Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku (The Princess and the Pilot): (25 May 2019) I feel like my 7-score here might be a LITTLE generous. But, it is a movie very focused on military air combat which doesn't appeal all that much to me. It did have its moments, though. While the lead characters came off as pretty damn bland at first, they did grow on me by the end. Glass no Hana to Kowasu Sekai (Garakowa -Restore the World-): (26 May 2019) Oh boy.... Here's another stinker.... This movie was an absolute mess. It had a few decent points, but it just couldn't really get its act together. I felt that it either should have been half as long to just throw out its ideas in a nice quick way without so much random junk, or it should have been at least double the length, maybe even done as a 12-episode TV series instead of an hour long movie. It could have easily been expanded to that length. I mean, I could have seen just the one or two minute part of Duel seeing that girl in the first digital world being expanded into an episode all its own, with the big stinger-ending being the reveal that it is all a computer-world and the girl being taken over by the virus and such... So yeah, I gave it a 4. Even though I wasn't a HUGE fan of Flip Flappers, that was a very solid series and pretty much is the kind of show Garakowa could have been. Colorful (Movie): (27 May 2019) Well, time to end strong with a movie that I genuinely loved! This got a high-level 9 from me and currently ranks as my #15 favorite standalone anime movie. While it took me a bit to get a feel for the characters, the main plot point of someone being reincarnated into a recent suicide death caused a situation which kept me very engaged in what was going on in an otherwise very mundane story. I mean, thinking back on it, the set up essentially amounts to a basic "amnesia" cliche, but it was executed in such an interesting way. I really cared about the characters by the end and had a sense for who they were as people. It was a very lovely and heartfelt coming of age story which is another anime movie that I'll be happy to add to my Blu-ray collection.

Pic above takes you back to the challenge page. This is my first time taking on this challenge. I was expecting a few banners, but wow! Some of the creators are insane, but in a good way. There are so many to choose from that I gave up trying to and decided to display them all. Since there are so many, I had to make a page just for them. When the creators used the same card for both the Participant and the Completed, I split it down the middle giving roughly half to each category. Obviously I am nowhere near done with the challenge, but I wanted to get all of the banners in order.

The Promised Neverland: Different Intelligence

$

For the series as a whole, I think it tries a bit too hard to have its "moments" to reach a mainstream audience, but otherwise is genuinely smart and with a simple premise that works excellently for a horror. People have been comparing the series to Death Note, and that is useful for what I want to point out. In Death Note, the obvious driving point of the story is a battle of wits between Light vs L. These two characters are both geniuses, by any regard, but demonstrably different types of geniuses. I think this carries on to The Promised Neverland, but in a less direct, and more open manner. And from here on, I'm just gonna drop the comparison to Death Note, because it's irrelevant to my observation. A trio of characters is a staple to any work with kids in it, and I would say in this series, the most interesting demonstration of intelligence is not between the kids and adults, but the kids themselves. In particular, Emma, Norman, and Ray are shown to be prolific in their own areas, right from the first episode. Norman is the natural genius, but heavily empathetic. Ray is more intellectually focused, greater than Norman at being a tactician, but secretive, harsh, and quick to change his mind. Emma, our main character, is not noticeably intelligent, but highly optimistic and with a high capacity to learn. Whenever you see these three characters interacting, it's a clear representation of exactly what kind of intelligence they possess, since they need to use their strengths to survive. Norman's strength comes from having a calming presence, which is deceptive to his genius level of thinking, so when he interacts with Emma or Ray, they trust his decisions but aren't exactly sure if they're figuring out things as fast as him. Ray's strength is purely strategic, not hiding the fact that he's smart, but is capable of solving any problem due to thinking of everything like a tactician, so he is very particular in what information he says to Norman and Emma, and difficult to trust since he makes it apparent he's thinking ahead. And, what made me realize this show is kinda brilliant at demonstrating how all kinds of people are smart in their own ways, we finally have Emma. Emma is a people-person, who loves everybody no matter what, but lacks any skepticism about a person unless it's made painfully obvious. In fact, she wouldn't have ever thought to distrust Isabella had she not witnessed firsthand that she was doing horrible things, due to considering her a good person. This makes it seem like Emma is the clear weak link in the trio since their mission requires intelligence, but the great thing is, she's not. Her protective nature lets her ask questions that neither Ray nor Norman think of, especially when it comes to character. And preferring the physical, she often finds out more by exploring. She also will ask questions about a person's character, and her extreme distrust of anyone with malicious intent to people she cares about make her trustworthy and essential to the escape plan. These small things add up to her being as capable as any genius.

Do they have dagashi in space too? : Yes. : I wonder how space dagashi taste like! Ask Cure Milky for some. Now let’s focus on the twat! *two more girls appear* : Phew… I’m not used to long trips like these… : But you look so cute all sweaty. Unlike that blond thing. He’s not cute on the slightest. : Really? But I look very girly, and I sound like the four tsundere wonders! : Three of which are not that tsundere to begin with… : But you are cute in weird prefabricated ways. Your cuteness is faker than KyoAni is massively overrated! : That must be really fake! : Fine then! I’ll ready my challenge now: tops! *pulls out tops* HARD KNUCKLE! *punches Hasta on the face* : Owie! That was uncalled for! Damn, thought using his weakness would solve this already… : Punch him three more times! : Better yet, stop the punching! Without my girly face I would lose blind fanboys! : That’s what you would deserve, aggravating crossdresser! : Then we could get more appreciated! : And even win in the spinoffs! : Wait, why is Lusamine missing this time? : I just called her and said we were “riffraff” and hanged. She just Kiko us on the face! : What does Alolan Raticate have with this? Keep being awesome. But guess we’ll have to make with the three girls here. Now explain your dumb competition, space trap! : Easy! We just throw tops into this conveniently placed bowl and the one that knocks out the other tops wins! : Basically Beyblade but lame. So just Beyblade pretty much. : Top fights are a long standing tradition of Japan and thus- : Sure, fair point. Now let’s begin this! : She looks impatient… : The sooner this ends, the sooner the trap leaves. : Fair point. : Alright, have some tops. *hands a top and rope to each girl* Now are you ready for this? : I was born ready! : That’s impossible but I’m ready too! : I’m also ready. : All set then. TOPS GOOOOOOO! *the girls and the trap throw their tops into the battlefield* : I will win! *her top gets knocked out* Drats… : I’m good with video games! *top out* But tops are not video games! Boo traditional games! : Again, stop underestimating traditional games! : Video games are better! : DUCK SEASON! : RABBIT SEASON! : Meanwhile my top and the trap’s are having an epic showdown. *indeed* : Come on little top! Push Raika’s top out! Yes, like this! Trapahahah! *suddenly a top comes flying outta nowhere and sends Hasta’s top flying out* What the? Voice: I have defeated the target. *appears* You are… : Corrrect. Tops, pogs, anything like that, made sure to learn how to play them and ensure tricky traps were defeated. : But that was cheating! : The rules said nothing about uninvited guests. Only to knock out tops. : I want another chance! : You aren’t getting anything like that… *pulls out fork* : Know your place stinking trap… *also pulls out fork* : Get punished. *pulls out a third fork* : I think that we should talk this out and- *the three girls fork him up and rather rightfully* : While the girls teach the femboy a good lesson, how about blogging about me and passing time? Good idea! You are awesome! : I appreciate the feeling. Body Hair Wilhelmina has purple hair. Though it seems pink in the original novels. The anime color is better though, being darker and fitting her serious personality more. The main issue however is the length, not even getting past the shoulders from the girl. She also has generic bangs, though the framing sidebangs are not bad. Overall her hair is not bad, just not amazing. And should mention her hairband because it’s actually Tiamat the Lord bound with the contract Wilhelmina has for her Flame Haze powers and such. Tiamat also becomes a mask during battle. It doesn’t matter much for her score but it’s important enough to get explained. Score: 7.5 Eyes Wilhelmina has purple eyes. Like her hair the novel went with pink instead, which is not as bad but the anime colors are better. Purple is nice and I like matching hair and eye colors though. The narrow sorta shape is good too and being tsurime helps too. Very nice. Score: 9 Build Wilhelmina does well here. She looks moderately tall and not too busty. She also has a slight tan which is cool obviously. And is really strong and doesn’t age which are always cool points. The problem is her body rarely gets shown due to her loose clothing. Even the token swimsuit pic has her hide behind Shana somehow which is kinda lame. Still not too bad, but wish we could see her adult body better. Score: 8 Butt Wilhelmina never shows ass. Unfortunate though blame she wears bloomers meaning the English definition of the word. Score: 1 Clothes Wilhelmina has little variety. Her default maid costume is good too, and official art adds a bikini like official art always does. Not amazing but better than nothing. Also appreciate she wears normal shoes and not heels since heels are dumb. Score: 7 Mind Personality Wilhelmina is pretty cool. She’s one of the Flame Hazes and fought in this big war and has quite a cool backstory. However that doesn’t matter much in the series, bur rather after the war she took Shana under her wing for the next years and raised and trained the girl into becoming a Flame Haze too with great care and effort. She reappears some time into the story and helps Shana fight her many enemies to the end. Personality is pretty good. Wilhelmina is kuudere the cute serious type, but also like a caring mother to Shana who protects and loves her very much. She didn’t like main guy Yuuji at first but ended accepting the boy when was clear the two got along fine. Wilhelmina’s power is creating infinite white ribbons and that allows her to pull impromptu bondage and make ribbon drills and other awesome moves. The girl is just plain great and after main heroine Shana herself the second best girl in the series easily. Score: 9 Reception Wilhelmina has issues here. Shana hogs all the fanart and whatnot, and while she’s awesome and don’t mind her doing that much it spells low scores for the other girls, and Wilhelmina too obviously. Shame for that. Score: 4 Libido Wilhelmina lacks this. Not like asexual, rather she never shows attraction by anyone else. Some scenes with Shana seem yuri but that’s the extent of her sexual prowess. Pity. Score: 5 Age Wilhelmina doesn’t age because Flame Haze are that way. That means a great score. Score: 9 Voice Shizuka Itou is always cool. Shizuka Itou doing a cool kuudere voice is even better. Her usual “de arimasu” sentence ending is cool too. Score: 8.5 Total: 68 - Good : I was expecting more… Well, blame your bloomers not letting your brown ass get shown. : Understood. *takes off her bloomers and shows off her brown ass* Better? Much better now! Shame only canon stuff counts for blogs! : Even doing this? *ribbons Zettai’s head against her fat ass* MMMMMPH! SMELLS BAD IN GOOD WAYS! Yes, even doing this. : Pity… For that I’ll make you spend all day under my skirt until you change mind. *leaves* : Zettai, come back! : Nah, let him have fun. : But what about the next girl? : I can just say the Snow Warning idol was cool!

Body Hair: 8 Eyes: 5 Build: 9 Butt: 7 Clothes: 8 Mind Personality: 7.5 Reception: 6.5 Libido: 8 Age: 8 Voice: 9 Total: 76 - Excellent Comments: I really like Melona for many reasons, but starting the series with her shooting acidic milk and inflating her chest was not a wise idea. Between her and Cattleya many were put off the show and that really sucks since the series is really good. Though considering DxD has far more offensively stupid breasts stuff people are just hypocrites. Body Hair: 8 Eyes: 10 Build: 9 Butt: 5 Clothes: 7.5 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 7 Libido: 8 Age: 9 Voice: 8 Total: 80.5 - Excellent Comments: This show needs more love, much like its main heroine. Body Hair: 3.5 Eyes: 1 Build: 6 Butt: 5 Clothes: 9 Mind Personality: 1 Reception: 0 Libido: 0.5 Age: 9 Voice: 7.5 Total: 42.5 - Failure Comments: Chitoge is the new Sena broadly speaking. Blonde with blue eyes and while not the “chest girl” from the series she’s not flat either, gets overly favored in the romance parts that the whole show revolves around the other girls not catching up and letting Chitoge never fall back, and has an huge army of obnoxious fanboys who hate the better girls for stupid reasons. Only Chitoge ends winning. She has less annoying traits and feels slightly less awful overall, but both girls should take a hike regardless. Body Hair: 7 Eyes: 9 Build: 10 Butt: 5 Clothes: 7.5 Mind Personality: 10 Reception: 8 Libido: 7 Age: 9 Voice: 9 Total: 83.5 - Excellent Comments: Watch the anime or read the manga, both are fine. But spread the love for this girl. Body Hair: 9 Eyes: 9 Build: 10 Butt: 5 Clothes: 7 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 6 Libido: 7 Age: 9 Voice: 7 Total: 78 - Excellent Comments: The day my blog reinvents itself and focuses on fights she will become the main character. Body Hair: 8.5 Eyes: 10 Build: 10 Butt: 7 Clothes: 8.5 Mind Personality: 10 Reception: 10 Libido: 8 Age: 10 Voice: 8 Total: 90 - Outstanding Comments: Yuuna is living proof pink magical girls can be incredibly awesome. Wish Toei would learn the lesson. Body Hair: 8 Eyes: 7 Build: 1 Butt: 6 Clothes: 5 Mind Personality: 1 Reception: 4 Libido: 0 Age: 5 Voice: 7 Total: 46 - Failed Comments: Terrible character all around. The anime gives her a nice ass and decent fanservice, but in the original manga she’s horribly mamocentric and that’s not good. She has many issues included her age because middle school girls are not that cowy. The best thing I can say is nobody likes her that much. Body Hair: 9.5 Eyes: 7.5 Build: 8.5 Butt: 5 Clothes: 7.5 Mind Personality: 9 Reception: 3 Libido: 7 Age: 9 Voice: 9 Total: 75 - Excellent Comments: How the hell have the godawful Chihiro and Ayumi and the less awful but still lame Kanon more favorites. The universe hates childhood friends. Body Hair: 9 Eyes: 7 Build: 8 Butt: 6 Clothes: 8 Mind Personality: 8 Reception: 1 Libido: 7 Age: 9 Voice: 7 Total: 70 - Excellent Comments: Let me get this straight. Sekai kills when dumped while Kotonoha kills for fun and Makoto beds everything. Somehow Sekai is the bad person here and bad enough to get kicked out of the games and replaced for some reason with her own mother, all while the fat cow and the pussy chaser can stay and are treated fine. Bullshit. And give her an epic 102cm ass to balance Kotonoha’s massive tumors. Body Hair: 7 Eyes: 6 Build: 7.5 Butt: 6 Clothes: 7.5 Mind Personality: 7 Reception: 5 Libido: 9 Age: 7 Voice: 7 Total: 69 - Good Comments: The day everything goes nuts and Daimidaler enters a regular SRW the game better have Ritz as one of the secret units.
