Konosuba!2 Episode 1 Review

It was just little under a year ago when Konsuba came out. This show took the community by being disguised as another "guy gets sent to a video game world" story but really about how bad it would in a situation like that especially if you're a good for nothing neet. The comedy in the show was great and that combined with really likable characters made the show a hit. So what does season 2 bring the table? And can it live up to the hype? I mean the beginning of the episode really feels like it set the tone for the entire series. It begins with a text crawl of telling the """EPIC""" adventures over dramatic music and heroic looking stills. To then cut to Kazuma crying in a cage moaning he wants to go home. This as hilarious as it is shows how self aware it is this time around and not holding back from the beginning like the previous series did. Plot wise the series sets off essentially right after the last episode. Kazuma gets prosecuted for being a terrorist for destroying the city and they have to find away to save him in court. But nothing is ever quite that simple in Konosuba. The animation is really weird to say the least. There is a big drop of quality so far from the last season but i'm not sure if its all international or not. I think bad frames every know and again are very funny and work perfectly for the tone of Konsuba but every scenes has multiple and can sometimes feel like a lack of quality rather than a joke. But this series looks like its off to a good start and will hopefully keep me giggling through the winter months

I suck at bios so sorry in advance. ok, I’m an uncreative teen from Austria that currently lives in the cold ass sweden. Though I’m Austrian I don't speak german, sos. It’s either Swedish or English (ironic isn't it?). I won't accept random friend requests btw. that's it, that's the bio, are you as disappointed as you thought you would be or perhaps even more?

wonder вrat Hi, I’m wurcid and I like danny phantom and ben10 a lot. If you’re like me and don’t know how to pronounce “wurcid”, just call me naoki. I don’t know what kind of rating system I have so don’t ask, cause I won’t be able to answer. I may be awkward, but don’t let that prevent you from starting a conversation with me.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you my name since I already have a username you can use instead. I started taking a liking to anime when I was around five through watching ghibli movies with my father and siblings. My favorite movie is Mimi wo Sumaseba, feel free to judge me. I honestly couldn’t care less about your opinion though. Also please don’t ask about my rating system, cause I don’t understand it either. Feel free to send a friend request, though I’d appreciate it if you talked to me first.

Thoughts on Erased

This is not really review but rather just my personal opinions on the show, it helped me get back into anime so i felt it was proper. Although it'll be pretty much a review in most senses haha i just didnt want to take the time and put it into more clear way for people. Just some context before i start for the most part i havent seriously watched anime in quite sometime, id watch the occasional series here and there but as for like knocking out series one after another i havent done that sense i was in highschool. Erased helped me get back into that. I was drawn to it the same way im drawn to most series that i really enjoy, the protaganist. Not sure if i can explain why but i loved the fact that he was just a regular joe who had this power. It was diffrent then the normal highschool protag whose definitive personality trait is "Kind' that i just saw all the time and got sick of. Also i felt he had genuine concern as if i could feel it myself, this more so how the presented the character and showed. If every nice guy protag was presented the way Satoru was then we would have ALOT less dull shows out there. One of my favorite aspects of his character was how he just absent mindedly said what was on his mind which lead to my favorite moments which often lead to my second favorite aspect of Satoru telling himself to get a grip and that he was 29 years old. The pacing in the show is top notch 2/3 of the show with the last third feeling a little quick in its developments then the rest but honestly that doesnt bother me much. But even the pacing is still better then most anime tbh Theres alot im leaving probably like all the supporting characters like Airi, Satoru's mother and Kenya being fantastic or how i felt for almost all the characters. Its good. Thats the crux of it trying to decide between a 9 and 10 for this bad boy. There were a few flaws like Revival never being explained or the pacing in the last bit but when i get down to it i really dont think i minded it at all. Its probably a 10 and my own reluctance to seem easy on stuff is keeping me from giving me it. But i love it, and if i ask the question if i would watch it over again id say hell fucking yeah. Ill just go out there and say its probably the best 13 episode anime i have personally seen. 10/10 would watch again.

Definitions for "Anime"

Is There A Definition For Anime? "Anime" has experienced many different definitions during its lifetime. There are arguments constantly, within the community, about what is and is not considered anime, as well as what defines an anime. I have assembled my own definitions based on what I have experienced and read during these forum/comment arguments. Each one of the following definitions has a valid point for their existence and the use is acceptable depending on the situation. Here are 3 examples I know of.
  1. Anime - Noun - Animation that originates from Japan - This definition is mainly used when referencing anime from a non-Japanese perspective to effectively distinguish animation that comes specifically from Japan.
  2. Anime - Noun - A style of drawing/animation that is inspired from Japanese animations - This definition is used when referring to a stereotypical art style and appearance. For example: if fan art was made of The Simpsons to look more "anime", then the appearance of the art changes but not the values of the actual item. This definition is contradicted because of the existence of "anime" that borrow traits from western animation.
  3. Anime - Noun - "term" to reference animation in Japan - Many online people have pointed out that SpongeBob SquarePants, and other such non-Japanese animations, are addressed as anime because it is just a "term" to label animations while they are inside Japan, regardless of their country of origin. This definition is very inclusive to the entire world, which is a good thing.
In conclusion, the most realistic use and definition for "anime" would probably be #3 because of the inclusiveness and the appropriate way the word/term is being used. #3 does not discriminate but rather includes everyone, creating harmony. #1 and #2 are very shallow with their definitions because it only makes sense if you look at it from an external point of view, when we should really be inside the mind of Japan when referring to their culture. If I missed a definition, then I am sorry. This is blog post is somewhat of a response to the comment section of this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsWSm1U1q3o

These are things that I wish I can see in my lifetime from the anime medium. Some of them may be impossible but heck, I'm just wishing here eh? A wedding episode from Akagami no Shirayuki-hime. Season 3 of Arslan Senki. A revisit, readaptation, or resume of Black Lagoon. Something please! Season 3 of Silver Spoon. Season 2 of The Devil is a Part-Timer! Especially it being dubbed. More story and information on Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter. A Chuunibyou return of some sort. Season 2 of No Game No Life, PLEASE! Season 2 of Rainbow Days. An alternate story to Plastic Memories. Season 2 of Chivalry of a Failed Knight. An actual good adaptation anime adaptation of a video game. Season 3 of The Testament of Sister New Devil. Season 2 or some form of continuation from Poco's Udon World. A dodgeball sports anime. An anime that dwells heavily and relates to viewers of religious faith.
