Black Bullet HM: Spice and Wolf Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Diamond is airing atm and probably will be in here. I know animes like black bullet aren't very well rounded but it was fun to watch. All animes have some form of a flaw but the enjoyment is the main factor for rating these.

There aren't too many good horror genre animes. Probably it's better to read horror manga instead. I mean just look at Tokyo Ghoul for example. Although I enjoyed most of the series, the studio messed up the latter half, aka the 2nd season. The horror anime that stood out the most for me is Hellsing Ultimate. The deaths in this anime feel quite satisfying and looks cool rather than feeling downright disgusting. The art and animation are very well done. Also, Alucard is one of the most badass characters ever. The only downside is that there isn't a strong plot so it looks like a bunch of random people beating up each other. At least the battles are of epic proportions. What is your favorite horror anime or manga?

Story~ Based on the manga by Satsuki Yoshino Barakamon follows Seishuu Handa (voiced by genius Ono Daisuke), a calligrapher who feels like he’s losing his artistic touch. After punching an art curator for criticizing his latest work, his father sends him out of the city into the countryside of Goto Island, where he hopes he can learn a thing or two about discovering new inspirations. Of course, what Handa didn’t count on was how colorful the people of the island are. On a thematic level, Barakamon is about a man trying to discover who he is and what drives him. Story may seem kinda unappealing to some muh cute loli doing cute things!, after all calligraphy is not a really popular thing outside of Asian countries. But if you are a SoL lover, only one episode will be enough to hook you up. Characters~ What makes Barakamon great? Yes, that's right, characters. Anyone can find a character he can relate to. Among the rich cast of the characters I want to point out two "mains" - Naru and Handa. Naru is a loud first grade girl - a tomboy and a true free spirit. She is truly innocent and full of childhood wisdom with which she is able to cut to the heart of all Handa's problems - often without even meaning to. Naru was voiced by Hara Suzuko, an actual child seiyuu, and this fact just adds charm to Naru's character. She sounds natural and cute (which is a nice change from pro adults voicing children in anime with annoyingly high pitched voices). For Handa, Naru serves as his muse. Every major breakthrough Handa has is somehow linked with Naru in some way. She truly sees into his heart in a way no other character, not even Handa himself - can. Handa is certainly not always easy to love, but that's a big part of the show's charm. He's uptight and high-strung, being quick to get annoyed at distractions as minor as the antics of children. Handa can be seen frustrated a lot, but he is empathetic because of his difficulties as an artist and those of dealing with his chronic anger management issues. Show certainly shows not only his growth as a calligrapher, but as a person as well. For me the best part of the anime were the interactions between Naru and Handa. The relationship that forms is somewhere between that of a parent and child and one of two friends. When Handa comes to the island, he instantly becomes the center of Naru's world. Art/Animation~ Art style was close to that of a manga, so I like it quite a bit. Clean, nice to eyes. colours were vivd, not too bright. More on a warm side to give this "chill" vibe to the overall picture. Animation was smooth, nothing too special, but then again, it is not a shounen action title. I especially loved the nature portraying - just simply beautifully done rural area backgrounds. Sound~ I fell in love with OP and ED right after episode 1. Both songs were rather slow-paced, with meaningful lyrics. Also OP was done by SUPER BEAVERS, one of my favourite j-indie bands (so I might be a little bit biased here). OST was done by Kawai Kenji, who is not new to SoL genre (he has also done music for Wakaba*Girl and Ranma 1/2). Music was calm, sad at times where it was needed, but I don't think anyone would go and download the full OST collection. Summary~ A show like this does not come out often. And this is sad. Barakamon is a perfect mix of comedy, valuable life lessons and slice of life. It’s an anime that will leave you smiling long after the credits roll, followed by sadness knowing there are only 12 episodes. It was a lazy review, senpai, don't be disappointed. Have a bonus though

I really used the image because there's so few official images of Mercelida floating around. Though I can't say that it's completely independent of her glasses. But now that that's clear, let's begin! Head Hair: Mercelida has pretty great hair. The length certainly looks great, reaching past her hips but fortunately (as far as I can remember) it doesn't block her butt. It's also a bit wavy, though she sometimes keeps it up in a bob for a more elegant style. She also sometimes has it up in a ponytail, and in flashbacks she often has twintails (both with short hair and without). Her bangs aren't that impressive, being somewhat generic with a long middle bang though the sides are also long. Speaking of long sides, Mercelida also has long sides on the side of her head that reach past her shoulders. She also has two long antenna. Of course, we can't forget that Mercelida is blonde, but that's a bit bad as I do prefer darker colors. Nothing wrong with blondes but it isn't too notable for me. Grade: A- Eyes: Mercelida has pretty eyes that have a lovely, seductive tsurime shape. It's a strong tsurime too, going inward with a thick upper eyelash. Her eyes are also a greenish color that looks nice, and while the pupil is a little unusual it's not too noticeable. While her eyebrows aren't especially thick, they are noticeable as well though that's fine for me. Overall her eyes are pretty, and the fact that she wears glasses while sneaking into the school also helps. Sadly I don't think she wears them at any other point, but they are a nice thick-framed pair of red glasses and I appreciate these sort of moments. Just wish that Mercelida would have worn glasses more. Grade: B+ Face: Mercelida also has a fairly nice face. She is a bit more mature than most girls I talk about, but that's completely understandable. It's not a bad thing either, though she does have a large nose at times which I'm not fond of. Also, since I forgot to mention them Mercelida, being a succubus, has pointed ears. That said, in the series that's not too surprising as almost every character has them, though I'm not saying it's a bad thing either. She also has soft, shiny, and supple-looking cheeks that look amazing. Er, on her face, of course. Finally, she also seems to wear make-up, or at least lipstick as her lips are visible. Grade: B : Ufufu, you are really different from the other one who blogged about me. Well, Zettai and I look at distinctly different things. Body Build: Mercelida is a succubus with a very curvy body, so it should be obvious that her score is good here. And we actually have measurements too! Mercelida is 175 cm tall, which is nice for me as Naoya (the male lead) is only 170 cm, and she weighs 65 kg. This makes her one of the heaviest anime girls I know of, though there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Her three sizes are 103/62/95, and there's a major problem already. No, not the wide waist. I like plump girls so that's completely fine. No, it's that her bust and hips are 8 cm apart, and that's far beyond my personal rule of 5 cm. Granted, Mercelida is not the poorest example and that's even in-series, and she still gets a fair share of butt service. In fact, 95 cm is pretty high all things considered, and her plump butt looks amazing. Not only that but her legs and body looks great in general. She's just an extremely attractive woman. Which I guess makes sense considering she's a succubus, complete with tail and bat-like wings (no horns, and sometimes she keeps the wings kept in and they look like tattoos). Oh, and I should mention that she's the mother of at least two girls, but likely only those two. Not sure why she suddenly had two kids and then stopped for at least ten years. Grade: B+ : Raising heirs is hard work. Releasing “airs” is not, ufufufu... Breasts: As said before Mercelida has a large chest size. Her bust is 103 cm and she's an H-cup apparently. That said, it's still not the largest example in the series but at least Mercelida isn't oversized like the cow girls. She actually looks fitting, and while she doesn't show nipples this is only because she wears pasties. Overall she looks great, and even with a bit of motherly sag she does excellent here for me. Grade: A Clothes: Mercelida wears a lot of sexy outfits, with the one she's most known for being her blue leotard with cleavage and navel windows, and on bottom she wears pantyhose. It's kind of a shame her outfits focus so much on her cleavage. I get that she's proud of her libido, but for a “lolicom” series Lotte seems to be preoccupied with breasts far too much. Oh, and I should add that she also wears long sleeves, though they aren't connected to the leotard. She also wears a similar outfit later on, though with a c-string and bra strap. She also wears a blue bikini in the beach episode, showing off her supported chest and thong back well. She also has a frilly royal dress, though it still shows cleavage. Other outfits include a lot of lewd outfits as a child (seriously, one has an exposed chest with pasties), a great suit when impersonating a teacher (though sadly lacking a necktie), a bathrobe, and in the past she borrows a sweater with necktie. She also wears a fairly heavy wedding dress in the finale. Overall she does quite well, appealing to a lot of my tastes but sadly her cleavage focus does hurt her a bit. Grade: B+ : You ARE quite different from your friend. I mean, I could tell when you talked about my face, but those scores are far higher... : You'll have to understand. Topaz is still a recovering boobaholic. As a result he still thinks with the wrong brain sometimes. Sadly her sisters, in their attempts to claim the throne for themselves, killed each other so Mercelida was made into the queen of her country. She might have a sexual mind and be somewhat lazy, but at least she's not an evil queen either as she genuinely does care for her people. Of course this includes supporting her two daughters Lotte and Asuha as well as Asuha's father/baby daddy Naoya. She's a really great mother even if she can't be with her children all the time. She might be carefree but as said she appreciates her family, even visiting and dropping off a gift for Asuha's birthday even if she had to do it stealthfully. She also used Naoya's, er, “seed” to return home one time when she was stuck in our world, which lead to him being an absurdly young father at 13. Mercelida is voiced by Yuuko Minaguchi. She does a lot of great milf voices, though oddly I think her voice fit Mercelida better in the OVA where she's eighteen. That's just my personal opinion though. Overall Mercelida doesn't have anything too strong, but she's still a very great girl with a lot of great traits. Grade: B Libido: Of course Mercelida scores well here. She's a succubus with an amazingly large harem of “feeders”, but in all fairness I prefer a more “exclusive” romance (though in all fairness she does need “fluids” to survive, being a succubus and all). That said I'm fine with Mercelida taking pride in being sexualized by her soldiers. In fact, in the manga when the rebellion hit she was able to calm both sides by showing off her sexy body after they proclaimed their love and “use” of her figure. Mercelida does seem to have a favorite haremette/servant named Ursula. Yes that's a girl's name, but she's a futa anyway. Of course, the main appeal for me here is that Mercelida is a mother and specifically she seems to still have feelings for Naoya. Her daughter Lotte does marry him, but it seems that Mercelida will still stick around him. Grade: A Age: Mercelida does amazingly well here. She's 29, which while slightly out of my range isn't too far. Not only that but she's much older than her sorta-love interest Naoya, who is 23. Yes, that means that as an (approximate) eighteen-year old Mercelida seduced a then-thirteen Naoya into bed. Canon shotacom is great! I'll also add that we see her quite a bit in flashbacks, and within Mercelida's tenth and eleventh she seems to have had quite the, well, “explosive puberty” to say the least... Lelouch became immortal when he went to the world of C the second time. How? His father was there, who had become immortal. Lelouch, who had used his geass many times had mastered it, and that's evident by his geass' spreading to his second eye. Because of this, he was able to steal his father's code, and essentially "kill" the emperor. 2. CC talks to Lelouch CC talks to Lelouch in a scene after his death and the thoughts of his friends. What? When CC is on the cart, she talks a little bit, then tilts her head towards the driver, and says,"Right, Lelouch?". She was definitely talking to the driver, in that frustrating anime style that many viewers fail to recognize. CC is smiling when this whole thing happens, something she usually does ONLY when she's thinking/talking to Lelouch. Also, she's always emo all the other times in the anime. But because lelouch is immortal, he lives with CC just like he promised, and CC no longer has to want death, but can live to be with him forever. 3. How do you know that the driver is Lelouch? Some people say CC is talking to the sky, or to heaven, where Lelouch is supposedly dead. (To this I can only type LOL) As mentioned in #2, CC is talking to the driver anime style. The driver can only be leouch. Why? Well, other than the fact that she called him Lelouch, the driver has his whole head concealed. Why would anyone do this in a peaceful world? The ONLY logical answer is that the driver is the hated emporer of late, Lelouch Vi Britannia. 4. Want hard evidence? Some people still say all this is speculation, and that only the facts that CC is smiling and Charles was killed can be actual facts. (Oh?) Early in the anime series, Nunnally gives her brother Lelouch a pink origami crane, which was taught to her by the japanese maid. This origami crane can be found on the cart next to CC. You may say "it's CC's to remind her of Lelouch". But let's be logical. That crane was a special keepsake to Lelouch, and it's very very doubtful that he even showed it to anyone else beforehand. Logic dictates that he's alive and takes that origami around with him to remind him of Nunnally, while he lives forever with CC. If you really believe that Lelouch is dead, despite reading the above explanation, then I gladly tell you that you are wrong. You cannot call yourself a true fan. Please ruin some other anime. I have the first season of Sailor Moon and as I was watching it today, I started to think about when I was about 5 years old and how much I really loved Sailor Moon. I have the remastered dubbed with the original animation. None of that, North American lets make this friendly for kids crap. Though I do have 2 VHS tapes of the original english dubb. Now those were the days. I honestly don't know why I fell for the show, but as an adult now I realize that it's probably because Usagi herself reminded me of myself and I felt I could connect with her. To this day she is still one of my favorite protagonists. Usagi is 14 years old and she is dating a high school kid but for some reason my little kid head always thought he was already in collage cuz he looked so mature......wait was he? Idk. That's besides the point. The original dub was horrible kinda like what happened when 4Kids tried to mess with One Piece. Did not go over well. Strangely enough both horrible dubs I really liked and they are the reasons I got into the series but than again I am not that critical about things like this as I prefer the dubbed version of an anime compared to the subbed if I can help it as I can multitask while watching. The one thing that does tick me off more so than the dubbed was the fact that they decided to mess with the show so much. Is the fact that they choose to A) change the sexual orientations of characters to fit their hetero normative perspectives by changing one characters gender to be female so it could be a hetero rather than homosexual relationship, B) changing the relationship between characters who are clearly lesbian lovers as cousins because somehow that seems more appropriate like really? how stupid do you think kids are? and lastly not even dubbing the final season because of GENDER! Just because 3 characters went from male to female in the last season as they transformed, they chose not to dub the series because they simply could not manipulate that to their will. Honestly North America, your transphobia is really kicking you in the ass especially considering some American states bathroom policies.....like really? I pretty much would need to bring my birth certificate with me everywhere I went to prove that I am a biologically born female. Honestly disgusting. This week its "Top Ten Romance Anime". Quote #89: In this world, justice doesn't go unpunished. But a true man doesn't let that stop him Anime:Sands of Destruction Character who says the quote:Taupy Toplan Man remember watching Sands of Destruction? What a classic. Good times right? ...Ok, truth is this is such an underrated animation that there is a 89% chance you haven't seen it. "Sands of Destruction" is a loose adaption of the not so good JRPG game for the Nintendo DS. Its really, really hard to compare nor should they be. Honestly? You got a good anime but a very crappy game(which is WEIRD seeing reversed). Our story focuses on a duo named Kyrie Illunis and Morte Asherah who are on a journey together in order to flee "The World Salavation Committee" due to them having the "Destruct Code" which is a object that can destroy the entire world. Kyrie is determined to see the world end while Morte and his new friend Taupy Toplan the bear wonder if that's truly right even in a world that can be full of despair. I would classify this anime as a "fun watch" more than "take it super seriously watch". Its just good anime with not to much meat on the bone with development yet its ok for what it is. There were a handful of episodes that had me really interested in what was going on in this dying world of sorts while the main character Kyrie debates to herself if life should go on. Its kind of a shame Sands of Destruction didn't evolve into something better because I remember Toppy as a mascot character so well! He has such a cool design and a fun personality to him. So what this quote he says is referring is the idea that we don't let the really scary concepts of our world stop us from doing what we think is right. I'm not saying go do something crazy however..a reality that one needs to accept is that to get what you want..you have to cross the line of fear. You might have to make an action that not everybody agrees with. I'm not sure if you go through this but for me..I use to have such an issue when it came always needing the approval of others before nodding to myself. Over time I got rid of that because really? Most of my best decisions have been following my heart and emotions. I'm not going to just sit in this world while letting what I care about pass by me. You don't accomplish anything that way and you lose those who you love easily through such an action. Face the world and make your own courage! All because somebody says "that's impossible" doesn't mean its true. If you really love something. If you care about somebody. If you really want to accomplish a task that seems so out there. Do it. Prove the world wrong because it has been proving us wrong on many different concepts this entire time.
