Beware spoilers
As a huge attack on titan fan i was very excited when the 2 part live action film was announced. But i was highly let down by several things.
The CGI and graphics were amazing and way better than i thought they would be but i cannot say the same for the story line and characters
For one example they changed the story line from being set in 844 to being set in modern day with helicopters crashed up and using some sort of technology such as batteries to operate appliances and other items
Secondly they changed the story with mikasa and eren, to a more dramatic and romance one to try and get more of the audience's attention and changed some characters such as Levi who was completely cut and was replaced by someone that acted like him in several areas.
Thirdly they stripped away the whole concept of Eren getting revenge on the titans as his parents died when he was very young and they did not include the key for his fathers basement and the story behind it all
Many other things stood out for me as well both positive and negative, but my overall conclusion is that if you are a big fan of both manga and anime keep in mind they have completely changed it from the original and have stripped away half of the story line.
This will not stop me from watching the second half as i am curious of how they will end the 2nd part and if they include things that are meant to be there.
Thank you all for reading :)

What's a thousand minus seven?
Hello!
Usually when I think of a ghoul I think of Halloween or some connection to a Zombie... Werid...
Today is Tokyo Ghoul manga and anime version.
I will try not to spoil too much... This on my bias!!!!!!
So basically, on how I found Tokyo Ghoul, i saw it was a really popular anime plus, once again like Noragami I saw a picture on Pinterest. It was a picture of Kaneki, with black hair happy smiling, then with a patch, then his famous mask he wears, then I think his hair turns white, then later one eye is red the other is normal. That got my attention and I decided to look it up. There was something else that caught my eye but at the moment I don't remember. I watched the first episode and it left a cliffhanger and had to watch the next episode, before I knew it, I was hooked!
The thing about me is that I love tragic, angst, suspense, and funny stories...
That's what this anime had a little of. At first, I was super confuse on the plot, I was barely understanding anything. Later it all made sense I guess. Towards the end of season 1 episodes 10-12 were , in my opinion, the best cuz that's were a lot of action happened. Yes, I know for people how have seen it "oh how could you?" "it was sad what happened to kaneki and you you like that?" "are you crazy how can you like that" are probably rushing through your mind buttt I can't help it! I like the angst and torture that Tokyo Ghoul has in the first season. Poor Kaneki he didn't his life to change drastically.
Alright, now for the seasons... I like season 1 so much more than season okay? for a couple reasons
1) the opening was better in season 1
2) we didn't see much of Kaneki in season 2
3) like half way through the season 2, it was hard to understand what was happening
uh I had more reasons, but at the moment I forgot.
So obviously there was a difference in the seasons. At the end of season 2 it was just like what. the. hell? plus, it's hard to explain because it's been 3 months since I've watched it. There were some parts where I was like whaaaaa? others woah 0.0 honestly, I didn't like much when they passed the police scenes, yeah I know they were crucial but some were really boring. Another things I swear that this character named Suzuya, Juuzou for the longest time I thought he was a girl... No joke. Many of you are like "pshhh I knew he was a boy from the start" or "duh isn't it obvious that he was a boy from the start?" well i have a reason to think that because his hair is up his shoulders with hair pins and his voice is very light, sounds like girl! later I discovered he was a boy... opps. The opening for season 1 was good I like the song haha but season 2 was for me like whaaaaaaa? if you have any more proof that season 1 was better than season 2 comment below OR comment why season 2 is better and I'm completely wrong...
*~**~*~* COMMENT b-e-l-o-w !*~*~**~*
Now, for the manga hehe okay I'm going to completely truthful... I haven't finish reading the manga! I left in I think the part after Kaneki realizes that's he's a ghoul and beats Jason and is about to go to the other group... Shit I forgot their name! Agoriri tree? So heh I need to get around to reading that.
Yes, I know about season 3 and I will watch it... but I hope it's good because uhhh it left a big cliffhanger and I know it takes place like 5? or 3? years in the future and Kaneki forgets his memory... something within those lines... pretty excited :)
Now what's it's about?
well since I trying not give away spoilers I'm going to copy and paste the anime bio...
ALL CREDITS GO TO THE WRITER WHO WROTE THE BIO. ALL RIGHTS GO HIM/HER/THEM!!!!
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
Based on the best-selling supernatural horror manga by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies.
Now characters, this anime had a lot of people, it was hard for me to memorize all their names! it took a while for me to be oh that's Touka or that's Hinami.
Kaneki- was one of my favorite characters just cuz he's cool lol
Touka- was actually more of my favorite character than Kaneki though a couple times she got on my nerves. I like her ghoul power which is I think a wing but it's cool!
Hide- was another favorite, really loyal and funny and what happened to him saddens me
Yakumo/ Jason and Tsukiyama were annoying and my least favorite. they creeped me out more than once.
Suzuya was love/ hate relationship... he was really smart and yet strong like he could kill ghouls with a scythe and go yipeeeee! he wasn't serious when it came to work. It's hard to describe. he was a good fighter yet you can't take him serious.
It had good action, character design, and a bit of humor BUT BE WARNED THIS ANIME HAS LOT OF BLOODY SCENES AND VIOLENCE. it rated for 17 and up, but hehe I still watched it. Male or Female audience could see this, but I could more of a male audience watching it. There is no romance what so ever maybe a character having a girlfriend/boyfriend with someone we barely know about. Lots of fighting scenes includes lots and lots of blood.
Only thing I didn't like, it left me puzzled all the time.
Phew! a lot. Alright, that's it, if I missed anything comment below and i would happy to comment back.

Well, tried to. I ended up watching E1-E8, then watched 1.11, 2.22, and 3.33. Felt like I must have missed something when I watched 3, but I've heard it's just a mind fuck anyways. Went back to E9-E24, then watched EoE, followed finally by E25-E26.
Have the manga available so might take a gander through that later.
Plenty of character development, but still find the tsundere aspects of Asuka to be irritating at times. She obviously has her own problems, but Shinji is the biggest wreck. Overall, it's a decent anime and I don't regret watching it.

An Update About My Blog
Ok, so welcome. Sorry about the delay, but i'm going to explain why I've been AFK.
I've been afk becasue i'm still trying to get comfortable with the house and i'm as well trying to get situated in my new school. I've made good friends so far and mostly i'm doing fine. Only problem is though is that I haven't got time to get on MAL as much as i want to. I mean i want to but i've been lazy. Other than that, that's pretty much it.
So what's to expect?
>The Otaku Diary: Trying to get this back on track, I'LL TRY MY BEST.
>Other Stuff: this was a rushed post, but i'll try to update you as much as i can.

Hello! +Mushi-shi
Technically I've had this account for a year, but I just recently added my list and started using forums.
I really like this site! It seems a littleee dead though. I joined a couple clubs, doesn't look like anyone uses them. I wonder if anyone actually uses this blog thing, I doubt anyone is going to read this >v<
I love making lists and journaling, so if I'm alone here, I'm fine with that!
I've recently been infatuated with Mushi-shi! I really like the aesthetic of it! The art is beautiful, I love that it was placed in the edo/meiji periods, I love the traditional clothing and architecture, its all so beautiful and calming.
Also, Ginko is super bad ass. He's so detached, which is something I've always wanted to be since I have a problem with getting /too/ attached. Also, damn dude, that white hair and green eye? I've never seen someone look so cool in a polo shirt.
If I lived in that world, I'd love to be a Mushi-shi TvT
I haven't finished the first season yet, because I'm busy preparing for school to start again, but I look forward to finishing it, and then the second season, and the movie, and the other movie, and the last movie.... jeez thats a lot @.@
I plan on drawing Ginko in a fancy kimono UvU
