This is an odd one...
With pretty good art, animation, and voice acting, this sci-fantasy mech combat mish-mash has a bit going for it, despite it's rough edges. Even so, after a few episodes of thoughtless reckless endangerment, critical oversights, and 'just plain stupidity'- you may be a bit less enamoured with the rambling direction this anime laboriously takes. The tone flip flops from 'kiddy appeal' lighthearted comedy and frivolity to sudden action- where the good guys take their beating until 'it's about time to win'. The villains are pretty much just sadists with some organizational affiliation, and the heroes are just good hearted dopes.
Honestly though- even if this is the product of whim-based writing, it isn't bad- though it could easily be better.
