I was super super super excited when this movie came out, because I seriously LOVED the anime and I was hoping for a little bit more character development, plot development, more scenes from the manga to be beautifully integrated into this movie.....
But DAMN.....WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I wanted to fricking cry because it was so much worse than I had expected.
PLOT AND CHARACTERS
Was WONKY and lacked flow. This is because whoever that tried to condense like 20 arcs into the one movie failed epically.
1. Some of the characters introduction into the anime had no backstory, like you had literally no idea how they got into Class-E, and the character development therefore was completely missing.
2. They arcs that they did choose to explodify on were the really really boring ones, and still the missed out on all the details that made the arc's specific focus character show little character development or too much where the audience didn't know where it came from.
3. The ending made absolutely no sense, and because of the lack of character development, there was no explosion of shock or wonder at the end but confusion as to why each character did whatever they did. The setting was changed so much that it looked like kids craft play when they tried to kill Koro-sensei.
4. Nagisa just seemed like a shy boy, with no special skills, the rage at the end was actually pivottal to his character development, but they showed none of it.

Ritsu still looked robotic even after the transformation. And I was actually looking forward to her arc the most but the defying of her master wasn't even at all in the movie......what a disappointment.
ABSOLUTELY horrendous, if someone was watching this and didn't watch the anime or read the manga, they would have no clue as to what actually happened.
ACTING/CAST
Bitch-sensei was literally such a redundant character, because she was just there for like no reason. And wow, they couldn't be bothered to get a foreigner so they think putting a girl in a blond wig and make her speak english really fast makes her RUSSIAN? That makes no no no sense.
The only people I can give credit for was Koro-sensei's voice actor, not bad not bad, but not as good as the anime, not as gleeful or over-confident. And Karma, although not very hot, he was the best at conveying Karma's sense of bad-boy flair. Maybe also Koro-sensei's brother, the grey octopus hair guy, he actually maintained the image of his character very well, that over the top sense of wanting to be the best, and kill the best.

My face throughout the movie, waiting for the wow moment that never came.
MUSIC
Appropriate, but nothing special.
CINEMATOGRAPHY
What makes Assassination classroom really amazing to watch are the action scenes, and how action scenes are highlighted brilliantly is through FAST PANNING, CLOSE-Up, SHAKY CAMERA, VARIATION OF angle shots, FAST ZOOM in and out.
We get like none of that. We get mostly panning, and frontal shots. WHAT BORING CINEMATOGRAPHY. And the CGI for Koro-sensei's mouth was wrong, you did extra work for no reason because HIS MOUTH DOESN'T MOVE when he talks. Instead, I didn't see as many Face colour changes at all, in fact, only one. Which makes him very boring.
I don't think I can rant any longer or otherwise I will run out of steam. I really really am disappointed. The second movie is coming out next year, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and watch it. I give this movie a 7/10. Koro-sensei's last scene was about the best part of the entire movie, but that is like 10 minutes out of the 2 hours. This should have really been a TV series, for then they would have been able to develop the characters and plot so much more.
