*Spoilers are included towars a number of series*
Or to put it in a different way, why is there no romance anime with a good interpretation between a demon/vampire and a human? (without being ecchi...).
Such as recently all I have come across has been: Diabolik lovers and Dance with Devils, in which case I honestly question myself this: How on earth did this stuff get an anime or even become adapted instead of a series such as Hana to Akuma? True, some may actually enjoy those 2 series, but I honestly question the logic behind it.
Diabolik lovers? face it, the only way that the series could become better, is if all those vampires get killed off, so that the girl is no longer being abused/mistreated only for her blood or if the girl would actually get a grip... Seriously... you got to be an incredible sadist to find this series even remotely good/fun...
Dance with Devils? Seeing as it is still busy airing, I'll be soft on it... Cliche Armageddon! true, not all may agree on that, but let's be fair about a few things: Having all those *attractive* demons being the student council is in my opinion One. Having vampires/demons being part of rich families is, also another, so Two. And as the last example, Main heroine being completely unaware of it all at first and is a key to surviving or some made up fairy tale? is in my books Three!
Does this all not represent Twilight in a way? (I am not going to question it).
In any case, if anyone wants to have an example of what has been the greatest adaptation of human+non-human relationship so far (in my opinion), it would be Hana to Akuma and Superior+/Cross (both of which are mangas)
