Lets face it, every anime fan wants to visit Japan. With a whole swathe of anime being inspired by the many cities that pervade Japan, it really is no wonder that so many of us want to visit! Not only can you go to anime showings and tours, but the streets, television networks and billboards are all pervaded by an anime centric theme! I would absolutely love to visit Japan one day and see for myself anime’s place of origin. But which places in Japan are the best to visit to get a real taste of the anime culture? I have done a little bit of research and found them for you. So add these locations to your anime bucket list! Suginami Animation Museum If you are a fan of anime then this really is the best place for you! This animation museum exhibits the history of animation and anime in an informative and fun circuit! So you will be able to learn about the inception and evolution of this amazing cultural phenomenon! This is a great place to go if you are low on money as admission is totally free! With multiple rides to go on, games to play and food to eat, this awesome anime attraction is one that you really don't want to miss out on! Otome Road More of a niche anime tourist location, Otome Road has become a central hub for female fans of anime and manga. They have anime street art all along the road and a whole host of anime and manga inspired shops to go in! Tokyo Anime Centre This centre is dedicated to informing visitors and locals alike about the amazing prevalence of anime and manga in Japan. They host a whole range of activities throughout the year, including mass merchandise fairs! Do not miss out on these informative, fun and exciting events by visiting the Tokyo Anime Centre! Akihabara This strip in Japan is ideal for the electronic lovers out there! They have a whole range of diverse and highly acclaimed electronic stores along the road that sell a range of manga and anime related goods. From box sets and gadgets through to games, you will definitely find what you are looking for here! There are so many places that you can experience the love of anime in Japan and they are all both informative and fun.
