So I'm quite new to the fandom and while I don't fit in well I'm also having lots of good experiences.....and some odd ones. Disturbing ones really. But good with the bad, right? Been watching what I can when I can as work's been keeping me busy. I find I'm sampling one or two episodes at a time then jumping around series. I guess I'm not very loyal a fangirl. But I've found some interesting stuff so far and also read my first manga in quite a number of years so very happy. All in all it's a good start and while I don't think I'm going to be officially pop otaku I'm still quite excited experimenting and experiencing. Plus It's just encouraging me to get back in to my Japanese language studies again. Anyways, right now my favorites are Gourmet Girl Graffiti and Nobunaga Concerto. Nobunaga Concerto is the one that really is sticking in my mind for some reason. I started out thinking that it was going to be another cliche time travel storytelling and I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the plot so far in the first couple episodes is interesting but not yet anything too different but the personality and feel of the characters have made it stand out. So far their personalities and background are pretty shallow but there's the feel you get when you know you're going to find out far more than you expect. I don't know how to put words to that feeling? Anticipation? Hope? Foreshadowing? Either way, enjoying it a lot and even my saner half admitted he liked it and he's absolutely not interested in anime or manga in any way, shape or form and rolls his eyes when he walks in on me watching Crunchyroll. So that says something. Between CR,MAL,Anime Planet and Hummingbird I'm getting an ever growing list of anime and manga that I'm ready to just jump right in to once I have the time.
